Updated Sat April 14. Zach Johnson wins the US Masters!
I again really enjoyed watching the final day of my favorite Golf tournament the US Masters on Easter Sunday. Zach Johnson was steady all day winning the event at 1 over. In his speech after the Huge win he said how he knew Jesus was with him throughout the day giving him guidance and keeping him calm. He said it was extra special seeing it was Easter Sunday. I think that is very cool how he said that. Not only the fact that he said it but also that many millions of people watching the interview got to hear it.

Tiger had the lead at one stage but needing 2 birdies with 2 holes to play he couldn't do it. Tiger finished tied 2nd at 3 over with Retief Goosen and Rory Sabattini. What a name, Rory!

Stuart Applebee the Aussie played with Tiger in the final round and finished Tied 7th at 5 over.

Rory Sabattini. What a name, Rory is. Today hearing his name reminded me of "Roring Rory" who was a star from one of the greatest and funniest days I have ever had, the "Power 104 World Belly Flop, Cannonball and Sewey Championships" from a few years ago. Updated Mon, Aug 21 06 "Tiger Woods wins by a streak in the PGA championship from Medinah, Illinois! Tiger vs Phil? Tiger gets a lucky break! Try the Golf game!" Myk

On Sunday Tiger Woods won the PGA championship by 5 stokes with a 18 under score! Wow! This was Tigers 12 th Major victory, simply amazing. Shaun Micheel finished 2nd at 13 under while Aussie Adam Scott had a great final Rd to be in equal 3rd at 12 under. Also at 12 under was Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia. CDN Mike Weir finished at 11 under. Steve Stricker and K.J. Choi finished at 10 under while Aussie Geog Ogilvy was at 9 under.

From Sat Aug 19 The US PGA is into the 3rd Rd with many Big names on the leader board including Aussie's Geoff Ogilvy and Adam Scott and Canadian Mike Weir. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are both currently at 8 under and 2 off the pace.

This so called Phil Mickelson vs Tiger Woods rivalry/dislike for each other I believe is blown out of proportion by the media. I like Phil as he's a lefty like me but I think he needs to get better and more consistent to be a so called real rival of Tiger the legend. Tiger is possibly my favorite sportsperson in the world. I really do think the media are looking for a story here.

Tiger got a lucky break off the tee on one of the holes as his ball was heading well into the woods when a crazy/stupid/dumb male adult spectator put up his arm and stopped the ball from heading at least another 20-30 metres. The damn idiot "Prick with Ears", a 5 year old would know not to do that!

Monday June 19 06 "Aussie Geoff Ogilvy wins the US Open!" Myk Aussie

At 5 over Par the 29 year old Aussie won the very tough championship at the Winged Foot Golf Club West Course. Geoff became the first Australian to win the U.S. Open since David Graham in 1981. Yeh!

After a 5-6 week layoff since the death of his dad, Tiger Woods the Legend did not make the cut after going 12 over the 1st two days.

Thurs, June 8 06 "Michelle Wie Kickin' it but doesn't quite make US Open! She's got another this weekend, Bulle Rock LPGA North of Joe Short and Baltimore!" Moose Salzer

A slightly disappointed Bo, B.J. and Michelle Wie still put on a gallant performance as the 16-yr. old girl from Hawaii almost made the men's US Open, shooting a 78, but boggey-ing twice down the stretch to barely miss out. Big stuff on Sports Centre this morning (along with, of course the Hurricanes almost blowing it v. the plucky but overmatched Edmonton Oilers, in game one of the Stanley Cup Championship). Wie opened with a 68, on the South course.

She finished w/ 1 over 143. Michelle has also drawn unfair ire from spoiled rotten brat Mirian Pressel, who is jealous because she can't compete at the man's level, so she  doesn't want Michelle too. Go cry in yer cappuccino, Miriam, before I turn you over my (wounded) knee!" Moose

Mon, April 24th 06 "Aussie Stuart Appleby wins the Houston Open! Tiger Woods gets a Woody as he Bungy Jumps in New Zealand! Bungy Jumping MYKwebTV from New Zealand! Lots of MYKwebTV from Houston, Super Bowl 38!" Myk Aussie


Aussie Stuart Appleby yesterday won the Houston Open collecting $990,000. He scored 269 to end up at 19 under. Canadian Champ Mike Weir was 6th, 10 back with 279.



What awesome photos the workers took here as I'm having a wild time in New Zealand Bungy jumping. This was from the smaller of the 2 bridges.

I read today how Tiger Woods over the weekend did a massive Bungy jump near Queenstown in New Zealand. Tiger did the Crazy but I bet great jump from a Cable Car over the Nevis Valley from 134 metres above the water.

Now I bet Tiger Woods got a Woody after doing this jump! Why do I say that? Because I got all excited as you can see above the time I did 2 great jumps from the Bungy's near Queenstown as well several years ago. Congratulations to Phil Mickelson the Left Hander from the US on winning his 2nd US Masters. Phil won this great event by 2 shots with 7 under. Some of my other favorite players: Tiger Wood was at 4 under, Vijay Singh at 3 under and CDN's Mike Weir and Stephen Ames both went great finishing at 1 under.

From Sat April 8th. Chad Campbell from the United States is currently leading at 6 under. Vijay Singh, Fred Couples and Rocco Mediate are at 3 under.

From Fri April 7th. Vijay Singh leads the US Masters after the 1st Rd! CDN Mike Weir the 2003 winner is currently equal 2nd! Vijay Singh who played a lot in Australia before he became a absolute star lead after the 1st Rd at 5 under. I just now checked the leader board and Vijay still leads now at 6 under while Canadian Mike Weir is now at 3 under after finishing his 1st Rd at 1 Under. Aussie Stuart Appleby is in the hunt as well while Phil Mickelson is also a big chance to win his 2nd Masters. Phil the Lefty had a 2 Under in his 1st Rd. Disappointing that Aussie Champ Steve Elkington had to withdraw from the event with a groin injury.

I saw the highlights of Tiger Woods 1st Rd last night and watch out! Tiger was very unlucky to finish the Rd at Even after some amazing shots and some non luck. I have to stick with Tiger to win the event, whick would be his 5th Masters. I think the US Masters is the best Golf Event in the World.

Stephen Ames the Canadian from Calgary my current home city yesterday won the prestigious Players Championship event by 6 shots winning a massive $1,440,000 US. Wow! Steven now automatically qualifies for the upcoming US Masters along with other Big Golf events.

Yesterday he said he puts family 1st and had planed a holiday over the Masters week but today I gladly read that he has decided to play the US Masters.

Seems Big John Daly the Champ was thinking of his recent great singing and guitar playing at this establishment too much as he finished a disappointing 45th.

The magnificent TPC Sawgrass course was the site of the Super Bowl XXXIX (39) media party put on by the Jacksonville Super Bowl Host Committee. We got on the buses from the NFL Media Centre and traveled to the Huge event and had a great night. Among activities on this great evening for me broadcasters mates was the closest-to-the-pin contest on the famous 17th hole par 3, with portable lights illuminating one of the most famous holes in golf. Unfortunately I dug a bit to much turf on my one allowed shot. It was a fantastic evening.
