The AFC-NFC, NFL all-star Pro Bowl game has been held @ Aloha Stadium, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawai'i since Feb 1st, 1980. The American Football League
merged into the NFL under the AFC heading in 1970 (the deal was signed Jun. 1st, 1966). The AFC-NFC conference game was held in Los Angeles from 1970-79.

Aloha Stadium, built for the Univ. of Hawai'i Warriors football team was 1st used by the Honolulu Hawaiians of the defunct World Football League (WFL) in the 1974 & '75 seasons. The Hawaiians went 9-11 their 1st season & 4-7 in '75 when the league folded Oct. 22nd, '75. It has been the home of the NFL Pro Bowl game since '80.

Since 1999 I have been to five (5) Pro Bowl games @ the home turf of my beloved U. of Hawai'i where I went to school, 1980-82.

     {the last Pro game of the best QB of all time!}

1998 Winner: AFC, 29-24
     MVP: Warren Moon, QB, Seattle
     {the best two-league QB ever}

1997 Winner: AFC, 26-23, O.T.
     MVP: Mark Brunell, QB, Jacksonville

1996 Winner: NFC, 20-13
     MVP: Jerry Rice, WR, San Francisco

1995 Winner: AFC, 41-13
     MVP: Marshall Faulk, RB, Indianapolis

1994 Winner: NFC 17-3
     MVP: Andre Rison, WR, Atlanta

1993 Winner: AFC, 23-20
     MVP: Steve Tasker, STr, Buffalo
     {considered to be best special team ever, he also played KR,WR,RB}

1992 Winner: NFC, 21-15
     MVP: Chris Miller, QB, Atlanta

1991 Winner: AFC, 23-21
     MVP: Jim Kelly, QB, Buffalo

1990 Winner: AFC, 28-24
     MVP: Dave Krieg, QB, Seattle
     {best QB ever in Seattle, they are still searching for his          
replacement}

     MVP: Mike Rozier, RB, Houston {my late, great Oilers-Moose}

1987 Winner: AFC 10-6
     MVP: Reggie White, DE, Philadelphia

1986 Winner: NFC, 28-24
     MVP: Phil Simms, QB, N.Y. Giants

1985 Winner: AFC, 22-14
     MVP: Mark Gastineau, DE, N.Y. Jets

1984 Winner: NFC, 45-3
     MVP: Joe Theismann, QB, Washington (another former CFL standout QB}

1983 Winner: NFC, 20-19
     Co-MVP(s): Dan Fouts, QB & John Jefferson, WR, both of San Diego
