I'm hoping and I'm confident that I will be proud to wear this jersey for a very long time. I'll be wearing it in some of the segments in my upcoming MYKwebTV show from the Ottawa Swans Aussie Rules Football game on Saturday August 21.
The Denver Broncos selected Tim Tebow at number 25 in the draft! Maybe McDaniels is worried so he selects Tim! Broncos report on Tim!
After all the talk where one of the greatest College Footballers ever would go and the experts wondering if he will make it as a QB in the NFL, Tim Tebow was picked 25th overall by my #1 team the Denver Broncos. I like it. Will he play somewhere other than QB initially?
Maybe 2nd year coach McDaniels realized he screwed up bad by getting rid of Jay Cutler and now Brandon Marshall that he is hoping/praying/believing that Tim Tebow is in fact the new savior as many people think he is not only in Sporta and in Life but now at the Broncos. Maybe McDaniels is so worried about his screwups he resorted to Tim Tebow to save him. Maybe Tim Tebow wil in fact be the coach as well. The New Orleans Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 to win their 1st ever Super Bowl on Feb 7 in Miami!
Wow! What a great game it was. The 1st half was tight after the Saints seemed a bit nervous to start with. The Colts led at 1/2 time 10-6. The onside kick that the Saints did to start the 1/2 half was a gutsy call by coach Sean Payton that paid off for the Saints as they recovered the kick. In the dying minutes Colts star Quarterback Peyton Manning threw but Tracy Porter of the Saints read it superbly to intercept the pass and return it for a 74-yard Touchdown. This was the 4th longest Touchdown interception in Super Bowl history. Drew Brees the star Saints Quarterback was named MVP after completing 82.1% of his passes, 32-39 for 288 yards and 2 Touchdowns. It was another great Super Bowl and a great story with the Saints winning their 1st ever Super Bowl.
My NFL Playoff team in Nathan's (Nasty Nate) 2009 Trans Canada Football Pool, a amazing NFL tipping contest was the Saints!
By finishing 4th out of 39 at the end of the NFL regular season in this great NFL tipping contest I selected the Saints as my team for the playoffs. From Fri Feb 5. The Indianapolis Colts to defeat the New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl is my pick but only just now with the reported seriuos ankle injury to star Colts Defensive End Dwight Freeney!
For coming 4th in Nasty Nate’s amazing NFL Football tipping contest I selected the Saints. Refer below for the years tips and details on this great NFL tipping contest. The Colts, Chargers and Vikings were taken by the top 3 guys in the competition. I however believe the Indianapolis Colts will win the Super Bowl in Miami.
It annoys me that Quarterbacks in the NFL get way to much publicity good and bad. That said in the case of Colts Champion Quarterback Peyton Manning I believe he will be the difference in this game. Peyton this year won his 4th MVP of the NFL. He has been one of my favorite players to watch ever since he came into the NFL. Once he retires I believe he will go down as the best Quarterback ever in the NFL. There are however NFL fans out there that knock Peyton and for that reason I hope he leads the Colts to a Super Bowl win and his 2nd Super Bowl. If the Saints defense effectively blitz's and gets to Peyton by sacking and or hurting him they could win this predicted high scoring game. If they blitz not very effectively Peyton will most likely play another great game throwing with incrediable accuracy to his offensive weapons.
I however would be all OK with the Saints winning the Super Bowl for 2 reasons. The city of New Orleans has been through so much turmoil since the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina and the Super Bowl win would give the Saints fans and the people of New Orleans some overdue happiness. The 2nd reason is I win Nasty Nates awesome NFL tipping contest and thus more money and bragging rights amongst the guys in this competition. If you are looking to place a bet on the Super Bowl I suggest you go to Super Bowl betting I'm was thinking placing a bet in the range of a 14 to 21 point win by the Colts would be a good bet but now with the Colts Dwight Freeney serious ankle injury I am thinking the game could go either way. I'll stay with the Colts just, a 3-7 point margin being a good bet.

Colts to win the Super Bowl against the Saints is my pick!
My Super Bowl report coming including details direct from nflmedia.com.
My NFL Championship game picks!
In the NFC game I'm picking the Vikings over the Saints even though I have the Saints in the amazing NFL Football competition that I have been in all year. Should be a rippa of a game. I simply think the Vikings have a more even excellent team in all areas than the Saints and although the Saints playing at home could bew a 7-14 advantage I think the Vikings will win just.
In the AFC game Im picking the Colts. I really think Peyton Manning is the difference.
Nasty Nates NFL Roundup and NFC Championship game Preview!
Here we sit after an eye-opening weekend of football that taught us a lot about our four bye teams and their true potential to come through in the clutch, despite well-founded and thorough criticism of each of them. If you'll recall, I said in an email around week 8 or 9 that I would just drool over the thought of watching the Saints and Vikings square off in the playoffs, and for once, the bracket actually played out as predicted and we have the dream matchup coming up on Sunday. This game truly has the potential to be one of the all-time classics in NFL playoff history, but as we have seen the past two weekends, unpredictable games that appear to be sure bet nailbiters have turned out to be blowouts more often than not. Now, take a few moments and listen to one of the greatest football minds you know (3-5 in this year's playoffs) break down the NFC action:
New Orleans Saints
The win over Arizona was impressive as hell. Not only did they absolutely beat up and blow the Cards out of the water, they did so after surrendering a first-play, 70-something yard TD run that quickly silenced the Saints' greatest asset, their fans. It would have been easy for New Orleans to get behind by 10, 14, or even more early on as one key turnover or a failed 3rd down conversion on their first possession might have allowed Arizona to jump ahead the way they did against the Packers last week. Let's not forget that this virtually identical Cardinals team in '09 beat a hot Atlanta club, shocked a confident Carolina team, then outlasted a Philadelphia group that was coming off two convincing road wins and fell just inches short of winning the Superbowl. They picked up where they left off from last year by posting 51 points on a Packers defense that had actually been pretty good this year, so let's just be careful about chalking this Saints win up to the inferiority of their opponent. New Orleans dominated this game in almost every aspect, but most important in my view, was that they dominated physically. Have you ever seen Reggie Bush, given the choice between initiating contact or stepping out of bounds, actually CHOOSE to lower his shoulder and hit someone? It was a first for me!
Minnesota Vikings
I am not shocked but am certainly impressed by the dominance the Vikings showed against Dallas this weekend at the Metrodo.... errrrrrrr "Mall of America Dome". The Vikings, like the Saints, benefit greatly from their home crowd and really feed off their energy, as was evidenced by their 8-0 home record this year while they were only 4-4 away from home. Dallas had their chances early on in this game but they failed several times to convert field goals or advance the ball that extra few yards to get into field goal range and had to punt. Once Minny got a bit of lead, their front seven went to work just embarrassing the Cowboys' O-line and creating a nightmare for Romo as the game wore on. The Vikings offense was not overwhelming, but Favre made a couple of Favrian plays as he always does, including an awesome pump fake, slip under, TD throw to Sid Rice that not many QBs would have had the balls to try. Overall, you have to respect the show Minnesota put on against a confident and streaking Dallas team, and they undoubtedly have the ingredients needed to get to, and win, the big game.
Keys to the Game
1) How well can the Saints protect Drew Brees against a dangerous pass rush from Minnesota? I think if Brees has time, he will disect a below average Vikings secondary, but if Minnesota applies similar pressure to that they placed on the Boys, I don't care how talented your offense is, you're not going to do well. The thing to remember is that Romo wasn't under heavy pressure from the get go. Dallas had their opportunities early in the game, but failed to cash in. If they had put 10, 7, or even 3 more points up in the early going, I don't think there's any way that the Vikings get the kind of pressure on Romo that they eventually started to get late in the 1st half and throughout the 2nd. The difference between the Cowboys offense and the Saints offense is that I think the Saints will finish their drives (most likely with TDs) and Minnesota will not have the same chance to rush Brees as they did Homo.
2) How much success will Adrian Peterson have on the ground? I know that Favre is a big part of the Vikings' offense, but I think Peterson is more important in this game. The Saints don't exactly have an intimidating defense, but when they get a lead, they force turnovers, and Farve has been known to throw a pick or two in his career. If Peterson begins to rack up 4-5-6 yard gains conisistently, the play-action will be in place and the Saints defense will be off balance.
I think the Saints cash in on their opportunities early on in the contest and they protect Drew Brees enough to put up 28-35 points. Honestly, I can't explain how important I think the home field is in this matchup, and the Saints feeding off the energy of their home fans in the first NFC Championship game in Superdome history will emerge victorious.
Saints 31 Vikings 17. What a battle this will be!" Nasty Nate
Nasty Nates AFC Championship game Preview!
Indianapolis Colts
Indy was very methodical in their victory over Baltimore this past weekend, and though any Colts fan would be thrilled with the game, it was, in my opinion, one of the most boring games of playoff football I've ever watched. The Ravens' defense did the job for nearly the entire first half, but the offense's inability to score a touchdown when they were inside the 10 on their opening drive and absolute lack of any other signs of life on offense allowed the game to get out of hand in the final 3-4 minutes of the first half when the Colts scored back-to-back touchdowns. As the Colts usually do, they didn't overwhelm the Ravens in very many situations, they just simply played relatively mistake-free football for the entire game and took advantage of their opportunities. I was quite impressed with the Indianapolis defense, even if it was against a weak offense like Baltimore's.
New York Jets
The Jets victory over San Diego was another example of New York benefiting from their opponent's errors, much like in the Cincinnati game 2 weeks ago. The Jets must have some kind of hex on field goal kickers as the Bengal's Graham missed 2 normally automatic field goals, and well, we all know about Nate Kaeding's streak of 69 consecutive makes from 40 yards and in coming to an end with an 0-for-3 afternoon. The Jets have played very strong defense these past two weeks and it was this defensive effort that kept their offense breathing in San Diego, despite not registering a first down for the first quarter and a half of that game. Trailing by only one score for much of the game, the Jets were able to stick with their run game long enough to wear down the Chargers defense and swing the momentum in their direction.
Keys to the Game
The keys for the Colts this week will be (like the Saints) how they protect Peyton Manning, and how they fare against the Jets' run game. I know this is exactly what I said were keys for New Orleans, but I think they are even more important in this game. Manning has been the beneficiary of the best O-line in football during his 12 or 13 years with the Colts. I mean honestly, how often do you EVER see Manning scrambling or throwing with a hand in his face? Maybe 3 or 4 times a game? I think Manning is one of the greatest QBs of all-time, but where would he be with less protection? The Ravens do not blitz him often... I can promise that the Jets will blitz him more, and I promise that they have some BRAND NEW blitz packages designed JUST for this game. If the line picks up those blitzes, watch out, but if we see Manning get even a little bit uncomfortable back there, we may see a few picks. For the Jets to be successful on offense, they HAVE to have some success running the football. Mark Sanchez does very well with the benefit of play-action and excellent play calling from O-coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. All of that said, I don't believe that the Jets can afford to wait until the second half to get any kind of offense going. No matter how well New York's dee plays, I have trouble imagining them holding the epic Colts offense to 7 points or less in a half. So if I'm the Jets, my first play from scrimmage is a play-action pass, and I continue to call offenseive plays that will keep the Colts off balance early in the football game to try to get some points up on the board and silence the already quiet fans (have you heard how quite Lucas Oil stadium is?). Overall, I think the Jets have perhaps the best defense in football to stop this Colts offense. That is why I give them a chance. But there are two reasons I pick the Colts: 1) Manning vs Sanchez, and 2) The Colts are basically 15-0 this yer in games they gave a shit about.
Colts 17 Jets 10
I can't remember being more excited for Championship weekend in a long time! I think that the New Orleans-Minnesota game is so great in so many ways. The game itself has the makings to be one of the greatest playoff games of all-time, you have two of the NFL's premiere QBs going head-to-head, you have two teams that have never won Superbowls and one that has never even been to a Superbowl. So much to love. This is literally the biggest game in Saints history, so I wish all my luck to Mike "Special" Brownie and Greg "the DHL maniac" Sinclair. Although the Colts will likely hand the Jets a loss, I love the David vs Goliath feel to games, and I foam at the mouth when thinking about Manning taking a solid blindside hit. Enjoy this wonderful weekend!" Nasty Nate
From Sat Jan 16, 10. NFL Divisional Playoff picks. Wow, what great games they should be! I'm on the sidelines at a Vikings vs Packers game in Minneapolis where this Sundays Cowboys vs Vikings game is being played!
I'm really looking forward to the games this weekend starting in 2 hrs time. I've been listening to many people all week and thinking lots myself about who will win the games, possibily the most thought I have ever put into 4 games of NFL Footy.
In Saturday's NFC game in New Orleans its the New Orleans Saints taking on the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals were excellent last week defeating the Green Bay Packers. I'm thinking this game could go either way but in the end I'm going for the Saints for 3 reasons. 1) The week off should help, 2) The game is in the very loud New Orlean Stadium and thus a home field advantage, 3) The Saints are the team I picked by coming 4th in Nasty Nates amazing NFL Football competition. Refer below. A special good luck to Cardinals Punter Aussie Ben Graham the former AFL Geelong Cat star and also NFL Jet Punter.
In the Saturday night AFC game its the Minneapolis Colts taking on the Baltimore Ravens. Again after listening all week to the so called NFL experts on TV, radio etc and many of them thinking the Ravens will have a good chance if not ein I'm not listening but sticking with the Colts. The main reasons are 1) Again the week off should help the Colts and I remember watching the Colts Offense led by possibily the best Quarterback ever Peyton Manning absolutely explode in the 1st Quarter in past playoff games after having a week off. However I think they did relax too early several weeks ago resting players and that could be a bad decision. 2) Again home field advantage. 3) I just can't seem to go against a team led by Peyton Mannning. He is simply the best! All this said I would not be surprised to see the Ravens Defense hold the Colts receivers and if they get to Peyton sacking him it could well be a Ravens win.
In the Sunday early NFC game its the Minnesota Vikings vs the Dallas Cowboys in Minneapolis in what could be the most exciting game of the weekend. Again I've been thinking several times this week of going for the Cowboys and I was nearly giving up quarenteed money in Nasty Nates competition by selecting the Cowboys and not the Saints. Again I'm going to go with the team that had the week off and has the home field advantage thus I'm only very just picking the Vikings. I'm pumped for this game bigtime especially as I have liked the Vikings ever since web sportscasting a game in their stadium several years ago against the Packers. Refer below. I have for the past few years also liked the Cowboys especially since Aussie Star Punter Mat McBriar has been on their team.
In the Sunday late AFC game its the San Diego Chargers vs the New York Jets in San Diego. I'll be barracking for or as they say here in Nth America "rooting for" (although rooting definilty means something else to a Aussie) the Jets. If Jets Quarterback Mark Sanchez plays well and the "sometimes a star" goosey WR Braylon Edwards can hold on to a catch or few that Mark Sanchez throws with length and often great accuracy his way I think they are a big chance. The Jets defence is excellent and their running game good. This said I think the Chargers will win the game.
So in the end I went for all 4 teams that had last week off and have the home games. I would not be surprised at all if I went 0-4 this weekend. Can't wait.
I'm on the sidelines at a Vikings vs Packers game in Minneapolis where this Sundays Cowboys vs Vikings game is being played! NFL "opinion has it" Crazy Comedy highlights from my movie/documentary!

From Sun Jan 19, 10. Aussie Punters go against eachother in the Eagles vs Cowboys game! "NFL Legend? Sorry but he just punts." a comment made today by a Cowboys fan on YouTube.com/MykAussie in regards to what I said about NFL Charger and AFL Demon Champ Darren Bennett! MYKwebTV shows featuring Darren Bennett and Mat McBriar!
This is especially for the Cowboys fan that posted the "NFL Legend? Sorry but he just punts." comment today on YouTube.com/MykAussie about Darren Bennett. I'm glad he made this comment as it got me going in a good way.
I can appreciate why many NFL fans see Punters and Kickers as not true footballers in regards to toughness. That said, I as a Aussie thats luvs the NFL, Darren Bennett is a true Legend to me. He has changed the way many NFL Punters now punt as he was the 1st to use very effectively the Australian Rules Football End over End accurate Drop Punt. I now see the End over End Drop Punt used by other NFL Punters who are Americans very effectively when the team is just out of field goal range. This accurate punt enables the punters to land the ball between the 0-20 yard line. Sometimes this punt spins back enabling the special teams players to stop the ball in the 0-10 yard area thus giving their defense a great advantage. If the punt is simply punted via the normal "screw punt" which gets more distance but less accuracy and it goes through the end zone and then the opposing team starts the next play at the 20 yard line.
Your boy Cowboys Mat McBriar is also a Aussie, a former Aussie Rules Footy player and a NFL Pro Bowler. I believe he is the best Punter in the NFL. I had great pride yesterday watching Mat McBriar and Sav Rocca, the two Aussies punt amazingly in the Cowboys vs Eagles game. Sav even got upset when he tried to clean up and only just missed a Cowboy player that was returning one of his great punts yesterday. Darren Bennett made NFL headlines when he cleaned up a player returning one of his punts several years ago. Eagles punter Sav Rocca was a very good AFL Australian Football League player for the Collingwood Magpies and the North Melbourne Kangaroos while Mat McBriar played Australian Rules Football in Melbourne as a teenager before being a great Punter for the NCAA Hawaii Warriors. Ben Graham the 3rd Aussie in the NFL of the Cardinals and a former Jet had a great year. Ben was a very good AFL player for the Geelong Cats.
In yesterdays game Cowboys Mat McBriar had 6 punts with 5 inside the 20 yard line, his longest being 61 yards. Eagles Sav Rocca had 5 punts, his longest being 59 yards with 1 inside the 20 yard line. Both had excellent games, I believe not making any mistakes or having any bad punts.

From Fri Jan 8, 10 Week 1 NFL Playoffs picks!
In what shoud be a great weekend of NFL Playoff footy, I'm going for the Jets over the Bengals, the Cowboys over the Eagles, the Patriots over the Ravens and the Packers over the Cardinals. Any of these games could go either way. I can't wait!
My NFL Playoff team in Nathan's (Nasty Nate) 2009 Trans Canada Football Pool, a amazing NFL tipping contest! Nasty Nate and my initial NFL Playoff thoughts!
I finished 4th out of 39 players in this great NFL picks competition. The 1st 3 guys selected the Colts, Chargers and Vikings in that order. With my 4th pick I went for the Saints.
I was real close to doing what I did last year and not take one of the top 4 teams. Last year when I finished 3rd I selected the Colts to go all the way. I took a risk that did not pay off as I could have picked one othe bye teams and been guaranteed money. This year I was real close to using my Playoff pick on the Cowboys. I believe any of 11 teams could possibily win the Super Bowl this year with the Bengals the only team I don't give a chance.
From Nasty Nate "OK Myk Aussie, Saints it is. I would certainly have taken them as well without a doubt. That said, I really like the Cowboys chances this year because they are so under the radar. It is about time for the Cowboys to break through and win some big playoff games and I think this could be the year with nobody expecting them to do anything. I also think there is one team that has no chance, but it's not the Bengals (though I don't like their chances either). For me its the Jets. They have a prayer of beating the Bungles, but no chance in hell of beathing the Chargers or Colts." Nasty Nate
Nasty Nate, I'm not sure on the Jets going bad. Good defence, good running game. Should be great playoffs. Cardinals vs packers? Tough pick again.
The main reason I went for the Saints is because if the Cowboys defeat the Eagles they will play the Vikings and that could be a very close game. I think the Saints will get to the NFC Championship game at a minumin thus some playoff $$$ to me hopefully. Last week the Eagles was my pick to play the Chargers or the Colts in the Super Bowl but now I think the Cowboys will beat the Eagles just. More coming later in the week on the NFL Playoffs.

From Fri Dec 18. NFL week 15 picks in Nathan's (Nasty Nate) 2009 Trans Canada Football Pool, a amazing NFL tipping contest! Refer to Sept 9 below on How to Play!
From 16 to 1. Broncos, Cardinals, Texans, Patriots, Ravens, Vikings, Eagles, Jets, Seahawks, Saints, Giants, Chargers, Packers, Titans, Browns, Colts. I went 12-4 in week 14 loosing 23 points and moving up to 4th place out of 39 with 1261 points. Eric Vandam leads with 1290.
Nasty Nate's report!
I'm sick of everyone telling me that New England is all but a shoe-in to choke away the division to Miami (Sorry Eor, you're not the only one I've heard saying it). I admit that the '09 Pats ARE NOT of the same caliber as the teams that won 3 Superbowls in 4 years, or the '07 team that went 18-1, but they are still at least an average football team... and they have Tom Brady, who many were prepared to put in the category of the NFL's top 5 all-time greatest QBs a couple of years ago. So the Pats have a one game lead on both the Fish and the Bi-planes (Higdon slang for Jets) with 3 games to go. New England's remaining schedule is @Buf (win), home to JAX (win), @Hou (win, unless Houston is still alive in the playoff hunt, in which case I still lean towards NE). If the Pats win out, which I think they will, no one can touch them. Let's say they go 2-1. That means Miami would have to beat the red hot Titans in Nashville, the Texans (who will be pushing for the playoffs at 7-7 after pasting St. Louis this week), and the floundering, but always dangerous Steelers. The Jets play the Falcons this week, then they have to pray that the Colts and Bengals are sitting all of their starters or there's no way they can go 3-0 the rest of the way. I'm not saying the Fish CAN'T win the division (I actually really like their chances of snatching a wildcard spot), I'm just saying that the Pats still have the inside track BY FAR.
I like the Saints in the dome!
I know some people are a bit skeptical about New Orleans since they've been playing so many tight games against sub-par teams lately, but when you look at most of their close calls (Miami, Washington, Atlanta, St. Louis), they have all been road games. In the Superdome, the Saints murder teams. Just look at what they've done this year at home.
Week 1: Extra exhibition game versus the Lions - 45-27 beat down
Week 4: 24-10 domination of the 3-0 Jets
Week 6: Annihilate the Giants 48-27, handed the G-men their first loss after a 5-0 start
Week 8: 35-27 over Atlanta in a game that was not as close as the score indicates
Week 9: Handled the Panters 30-20
Week 12: Embarrassed Brady/Bellicheck 38-17 on Monday Night
So despite some of their near disasters on the road in '09, Saints season ticket holders have not had more than a hand full of moderately tense moments in the Superdome so far this year. As long as the Saints can wrap up home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs, I like them to go to the Superbowl. Don't get me wrong, I think the Vikings, or Packers could give them trouble, but with the emotion of those fans behind them, I think these boys should role to their first ever big show.
We'll find out what the Chargers are made of in the next two weeks. I like the San Diegans a lot right now. How could you not? They have won 8 straight ball games after a typical Charger start of 2-3, and although half of those wins have come against cellar dweller teams (Oak, 2xKC, Cle), they certainly do have some solid wins in there as well (@NYG, PHI, @Den, @Dal). Now the Chargers are in a position to snag a first round bye and truly challenge the Colts for the AFC, but first, they have two more significant tests to pass before I can REALLY jump on board. This week they host the Bengals in a game that Cinci desperately needs, not because a loss would mean they miss the playoffs, but because they are trying to rebound from a thrashing at the hands of Minnesota this week, and a colossal shamer in Oakland a little while back. To regain some credibility as a true threat in the AFC, the Bengals need to beat the Chargers. If San Diego can get through that one, they will have to travel to Tennessee to face the Titans who, if they can beat Miami in Week 15, will be as hungry and dangerous as any team in the NFL. If the Chargers win both of those games, given their successful history against the Colts, I think they could potentially be representing the AFC in the bowl this year." Nasty Nate

Recent Broncos or Seahawks jerseys which where the worst? "Nasty Nate" Nathan's thoughts!
"Nathan these Brown and mustard Broncos jerseys from last week were probably worse than ya recent bright green Seahawks jerseys ‘training tops”.
"I wouldn't say worse, those Seahawks jerseys were literally the worst (edit edit) things I've seen in a while. These old Broncos uniforms aren't so hot either though. I do like the socks with the vertical stripes, pretty cool. It just pisses me off that they wear every alternate jersey they can possibly think of just so they can sell more s….(edit) to idiot fans who just have to have EVERYTHING. The Seahawks have their new gear, their old throwback uniforms and that's it, so they figured, (edit), everyone else wears 6 different uniforms every year, let's make a new one up and of course the only other colour they could use was that terrible neon green. That green is nice when it is just around the collar and the sleeves, but a whole jersey of it is nauseating." Nathan AKA Nasty Nate

From 13 to 1. ie 13 being the team I am most confident in winning. 1 being the team I am least confident in winning.
Colts, Packers, Patriots, Eagles, Panthers, Jets, Chargers, Saints, Vikings, Giants, Bengals, Texans, Falcons.
In week 6 I went 11-3 for 75 points and moved up to 4th place from 5th place out of 39 with 559 points. Kyle Banasiak still leads with 591 points.

Steelers, Eagles, Packers, Jets, Jags, Bengals, Panthers, Patriots, Falcons, Cardinals, Vikings, Saints, Broncos, Chiefs.
Monday Night Football should be a rippa as my #1 team the Denver Broncos go to San Diego to take on Divisional rivals the Chargers. Its a tough week of tipping I think with the last 6 possibily going either way.
In week 5 I went 9-5 for 81 points and moved up to 5th place from 7th place out of 39 with 487 points. Kyle Banasiak still leads with 517 points, 20 ahead of 2nd place Eric Vandam on 497.

From 14 to 1. ie 14 being the team I am most confident in winning. 1 being the team I am least confident in winning.
Giants, Eagles, Vikings, Steelers, Cowboys, Panthers, Ravens, Bills, Cardinals, Colts, Jets, 49ers, Jags, Broncos.
I am happy, hopeful and somewhat shocked that I am picking the Broncos against the Patriots. Gabriel Morency from The Score TV in Canada and host of Sports Rage on Sirius Satellite radio changed my mind on this one as he firmly believes the Broncos will win. I still wonder how much better would the Broncos be with Jay Cutler, Super Bowl bound I think. Refer below for my disgust on the trading of Cutler. I have to now give Josh McDaniels the new Broncos coach credit for what he has done at the Broncos other than this still in my eyes disgraceful trade.
In week 4 I went 11-3 for 88 points and am now in 7th place out of 39 with 406 points. Kyle Banasiak still leads with a amazing 446 points, 25 ahead of 2nd place Eric Vandam on 421. Kyle has won the weekly money on 3 of the 1st 4 weeks, a great effort.
From Fri Oct 2. My NFL picks. Week 4 in Nathan's 2009 Trans Canada Football Pool, a amazing NFL tipping contest! Refer to Sept 9 below on How to Play!

Giants, Colts, Bengals, 49ers, Texans, Bears, Titans, Redskins, Bills, Saints, Steelers, Ravens, Vikings, Broncos.
The last 5 games could go either way. Amazingly I'm picking the Bronco's at home. Gabriel Morency likes them, I'm picking them more for luv/hope of my number 1 team. Bronco's had a terrible off-season but a great start. In week 3 I went 13-3 for 119 points and am now up to 6th place out of 39 with 318 points. Kyle Banasiak still leads with 342 points.
Packers vs Vikings on Monday Night! The Packers players will be "extra pumped" against their former hero, Brett Favre! I'm at a Packers vs Vikings Monday night game, MYKwebTV from the movie/documentary!
I'm picking the Vikings but the "extea pumped" Packers players could get them a win. I think this could be the most anticipated NFL regular season game ever!
I've talked about this great crazy night before on here but what a great TV show it is to highlight now as I'm at a Packers vs Vikings Monday Night Football game filming Brett Favre on the sidelines and then in the Packers rooms wanting to interview him. The latest DVD version of my movie/documentary that I finished this week (for select viewing only) features the 20-30 secs of game footage of Brett Favre at QB. If I can't get permission from the NFL for this footage I will have to pay them for the footage. Several weeks ago I re-edited the 12 minutes from this game for the new version of the movie/documentary. Here is the MYKwebTV with some of this footage from a great crazy night Click here
Humorous banquet speech about Brett Favre sent to me from Lloyd Pye!
”For all football fans. Since Brett Favre is all the rage right now (as well he should be with last week's game heroics and his 40th birthday coming on Oct. 10th), I'm dusting off a decade-old, 18-minute banquet speech I made that features a pair of schlubbs (me and another guy) trying to get Brett to autograph a brand new Packer helmet for then high-riding nighttime radio host Art Bell.
It's a funny story well-told, which made it popular before YouTube and Facebook, but nobody has seen it for a decade. It's main point is that it ultimately shows Brett in an out-of-the-limelight situation in which he is instinctively polite and courteous when he has absolutely no need to be. It casts him in a favorable light that I'm sure many fans would appreciate knowing about. If you'd like to check it out and read a bit more about how it came to be, here's the link Click here.” Lloyd Pye
Nathan's week 3 Detriot Lions finally win report!
"I must start this email with a heartfelt congratulations to a team who, today, broke a stretch of losing that had begun all the way back at the end of the 2007 NFL regular season. A steak of 643 winless days was endured by only the most loyal Detroit fans, the pinnacle of embarrassment coming on December 28, 2008, a day that will live on in infamy for Detroiters, the day the Lions became the first team in NFL history to complete a 16-game season without a single victory. Despite the decades of disappointment and an 0-2 start to the 2009 season, the Lion fan base was abnormally optimistic as the Lions took a 13-0 edge into halftime against the Redskins. Normally a recipe for collapse, and worse post game nausea than after a 45-3 spanking, the lead was not to be haphazardly thrown away in the dying seconds today as it has been countless times in the past.
One fan reported to me at halftime on the status of the crowd's belief in the Lions to pull out the win, "I am the lions game as we speak. 13 nothing at half time. I am beginning to feel it man. The crowd is hyped." This sense of hope and faith in the home team is something completely foreign to me inside Ford Field. I have been to at least 7 or 8 games at the new stadium, not to mention 10 or more at the old Silverdome. Not since the day that Barry Sanders broke the 2,000 yard rushing mark and propelled the Lions into the playoffs some 12 years ago have I felt a Detroit Lions crowd expect to win a game. But today sounds as if it were a little bit different. Maybe it was the arrival of a true franchise quarterback in Matthew Stafford. Maybe it was the opponent who has thus far underachieved and stumbled to an unimpressive 9-7 win the week before against a bad team. Maybe it was a new head coach. Maybe it was inspiration from a Detroit baseball team who his fighting like hell to make the playoffs for just the second time in 22 years. Maybe it was just time. When I heard the radio update that the Lions had a 5 point lead late in the 4th quarter and Washington had the ball, I was certain the Lions were headed to yet another Lion-like loss.
I'm not sure what the feeling in the crowd was like during those last few seconds with the Redskins moving the football needing just a touchdown to win, but I know that if I had been there that replays of a botched extra point that would have sent a game into OT would have been floating through my head. All I have is this second exclusive snippet sent to me from ex-pool member Michael Prangley via blackberry as Detroit held on for the victory, " LIONS WIN!!! and I was there to see it happen. Thank god they managed to pull it out. Shaky near the end there." Mike seems to be hinting that there was fear in his heart as the game came down to the wire, but there was clearly nothing but courage within the soul of the Lions. I cannot tell you if the fans helped to collectively will that game into the win column for their Lions, all I can tell you is that something was definitely different inside that building today, and the Lions streak is over." How to play from Nathan!
"Its pretty simple. THERE ARE NO POINT SPREADS INVOLVED. Lets say there are 16 games in a week. Each person must rank ALL of these games from 16-1, placing 16 points on the team they are most sure will win, 15 on the team they are 2nd most sure will win, then 14, then 13, and so on, until they place 1 point on the game they are least sure of. If the team alotted 16 points wins their game, then the player receives 16 points in the bank. If that team losses, then the player would miss out on that 16 points. Each number from 16-1 can only be used once per week, and every number must be used. If the week only has 15 games, then picks would range from 15-1 instead. Here is an example of how you would send your picks (only the predicted winners of each game are listed):
NE 16, Den 15, Was 14, Dal 13, Chi 12, NYJ 11, GB 10, Atl 9, Phi 8, TB 7, Car 6, NO 5, Buf 4, Det 3, Sea 2, Mia 1
The player who collects the most points at the end of the week will win that week and receive a payout. Points accumulate over the entire season, and the top 12 point getters will qualify for the playoffs. In the playoffs, the top point getter drafts a team first, and receives more money for every game that team wins in the playoffs. The 2nd highest point getter drafts from the remaining teams, and so on, until the 12th place finisher receives the one remaining playoff team." Nathan

Direct from NFLMedia.com! Statement By NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on the Signing of Michael Vick By the Philadelphia
Eagles!
"I have said several times in recent weeks that I want Michael to be one of the NFL's success stories as an individual and as a football player. I believe he can accomplish both goals with the Eagles organization which has done an outstanding job in the community and on the field these last 15 years under the direction of owner Jeffrey Lurie. I know the Eagles will provide strong support but, ultimately, Michael’s success is up to him and the decisions he makes." Roger Goodell
From Thurs Aug 13. Michael Vick signs with the Eagles!
It has just been reported that Michael Vick has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Apparently several head coaches said they
would have liked to sign Vick but were unable to because of their owners being too scared to because of fan backlash. I was
hoping in some ways that the Denver Broncos signed him after Jay Cutler was disgustingly traded. Refer below.
Direct from NFLMedia.com. NFL Commisioner Roger Goodell
Press Conference – Michael Vick Conditional Reinstatement July27, 2009
Roger Goodell: Good afternoon. As all of you are aware, I’ve made my decision regarding Michael Vick and I would be happy to take your questions. But before we do, I would just like to make a couple of points which I hope will be helpful in putting it into context.
First, and most importantly, we all want to recognize that the conduct that Michael engaged in was not only horrific, but it was cruel. And we all certainly recognize that and Ibelieve after meeting with Michael that he recognizes that also. We engaged in a very thorough process. It was very carefully done and very thoroughly done. Multiple members of ourstaff were engaged as well as me. Wewent through his court records. We wentthrough evaluations. We went through decisions. We know all the terms of his parole. We went through every detail, including abouta four-and-a-half hour meeting with Michael last Wednesday here in the New York area. So we take this as a very serious matter. We’re dealing with a young man’s life. Our process was similarly reflective of the seriousness of that.
As you know,he can sign now with an NFL team. He canpractice without delay with an NFL team. He may play in the final two preseason games of this preseason. And once the regular season starts, he can practice if the team so chooses. And Iwill decide within the first six weeks of the regular season when and whetherhe will be reinstated to play from there.
He has beenvery open and fully cooperative as well as his advisors and his counselors. I will say that one of themost important things that we talked about is that nobody gets through lifealone. That you always have to have amentor. That you always have to have somebody who will give you guidance and support at critical moments. Michael needs that right now and I have asked Tony Dungy to play a more formal role on my behalf but also on Michael’s behalfto serve as a mentor to Michael to help him and guide him through some verydifficult decisions he’s going to have to make going forward. I do not expect he will be his only mentor, but Tony will be a big part in determining who else will serve as advisors to him. But I know Tony and Michael, who Ispoke to earlier today on a conference call, both take it very seriously andare committed to making sure that they work closely together to make better decisions going forward.
I do believethat this transitional approach that we have outlined for Michael is the bestthing for him, that it has the best opportunities to lead to success for ayoung man who has his life ahead of him. Whether he makes it on the field in the NFL is something that will bedetermined on the field. But he has somebig decisions off the field to make in the way he conducts himself. I think he is at a point right now where heis prepared to make those decisions and hopefully conduct himself in a morepositive way. I have said repeatedly, and many times before, that playing in the NFL is a privilege, we are held to ahigher standard and it is not a right to be an NFL player. I think Michael clearly understands that is his responsibility and I think it is his opportunity now to earn that privilege back again. And that is up to Michael.
But one final point before I take your questions. As I’ve said many times before, I am veryproud of NFL players. They do incredible things and exceed the standards that we set for them. And they do that both on and off the field. And I am proud of the things they do off thefield. Obviously when you are dealingwith 2,000 young men, you are going to have mistakes, bad judgments, and people are going to do things that you are not proud of. Obviously this is one case. But I hope something positive can come out ofsomething that has been a very tragic circumstance and hopefully people will understand that the individual here has the right to earn that opportunity back again. He will be held accountable forthat. He will be held accountable forhis life management plan that he submitted to me, the things he says he is going to do, and I will make sure that he does that in responsible fashion, as will Tony.
Have any teams expressed an interest in signing him yet? That’s not something that I would get involved with. I work for all 32 teams. As far as what team signs him, that’s an individual club decision and they’ll have to make that individually with him and negotiate.
On Michael lying: He was not candid with me. In fact, prior to starting the hearing we spent a few minutes together and it was the first thing he raised with me. That he was disappointedin himself. That he was direct in thefact that he lied about his involvement in dog fighting. And I accept his apology. I understand. I don’t like being lied to like anybody else. But this is something that we have to move forward from. Michael understands that Iam judging him on his activities going forward, on the words that he said to me, and on the conduct that hopefully will support the words he expressed to mepersonally.
What needs to happen in the next 12 weeks for him to be reinstated? A number of things. First he would have to sign acontract with a team. He will have to beginthe process of getting re-acclimated into that community and that team. He’ll obviously want to relocate hisfamily. He’s been very clear aboutthat. He will have to get a support system around him. He will continue togo through the programs of his parole and also the programs that the NFL hasdesigned for him. He will work veryclosely with Tony and me if necessary to make sure that we are providing thesupport necessary and the guidance. Buthe has a very difficult transition ahead and we want to support him in that andgive him that opportunity. But he recognizes he has to earn that and his actions will have to support that.
Should Vick not sign with any team during the preseason, will the parameters of this reinstatement change? Have you looked into or discussed that possibility, if he doesn’t have the opportunity with a team during preseason? Well that’s not something I can control. Of course individual clubs and Michael and histeam will have to make that decision who he signs with ultimately. I don’t expect I would modify the terms of what I call the transition plan in anymarginal way, but I’ll leave that option open if necessary – but I don’t seethat as being something that I would engage in.
PETA has said that they had wanted you to have him undergo a psychiatric evaluation to show that he is truly remorseful and that if not they would consider protesting any team that would sign him. Did you have him undergo any evaluations? Yes, in fact we worked with animal rights activist groups and we are clear: we worked with their medical professionals about the aspects of our evaluations. Michael fullycooperated with all of those tests. Those tests did not indicate there was any reason he couldn’t make a transition forward, but they also recognized thatcounseling and other aspects of support will be important for him going forward.
You mentioned there’d be an NFL component to his program as well, things he would have to adhere to. Could you elaborate on what that means beyond obviously the probationary things you have asked him to do legally? Well the primary one is the role of Tony Dungy. Ibelieve that Tony is a very successful individual, he is somebody that I respect his judgment, I think he is wise and will give good counsel. I think he is committed to helping Michael asa young man – not as a football player. He’ll try to do what he can to help him reestablish his life and help him moveforward. That’s the first thing that has to happen here. All of the conditions which we have outlined in the letter – which we will be happy to provide youwith – we will hold Michael accountable for. He will be responsible for fulfilling those, and they will be part of my judgment about how long the period of time is before I’ll allow him to play in regular season games.
Did you feel a sense of urgency to make the decision quickly? Obviously it’s only been a week since he completed his federal term. How much of a relief – I don’t know if relief is the right word – but how much of a relief will it be for you to have made this decision quickly? Relief is not a word I would use here. I believe that it was my responsibility to make a thoughtful, clear decision, and to do it on a very timely basis. I am not here to punish anybody; we’re here to extend player’s careers rather than limit player’s careers. That is important for us to do as long as they recognize the standards by which we are going to hold them accountable andeverybody in the NFL. I believe Michael understands that. I believe he deserves the opportunity to earn his way back onto the field – but he will have to earnit. It is up to him now, and we will support him the way we have outlined in my decision. I believe that I had the responsibility to make a decision as quickly as possible, one that was fair, and I hope this one is seen as fair – although I fully recognize that some people won’t agree with it.
About how many people played a role? Obviously this is your decision and your name is attached to it, but I know NFL security, probably owners and coaches, players past and present probably played some role in you formulating your final policy. Well I believe very much in getting a variety of opinions to get a broad perspective. I reached out to a variety of leaders of ourcountry, our society. I’ve talked to anumber of current and former players, I’ve talked to a number of current and former coaches, I’ve talked to former and current executives – but I am verycautious about competitive issues here. Iwould not involve someone that would be involved potentially in Michael’sinterest as a football player. I was interested in Michael as an individual and what we could do to help reestablish his life and get him involved in a positive way regardless of if he played football. I do believe very much in getting perspectives, and I believe that has served me very well in making decisions. As you pointed out, ultimately, at the end of the day, I had to go into a room and make a decision. I reached out to a number of people, including DeMaurice Smith, former players, and coaches and I believe I had allthe perspectives I needed to make this decision.
Did you talk with any of the sponsors of the NFL, any companies and what their reaction would be? Was there anything you would bounce off of them? I didn’t – I can’t specifically recall contacting people in that context. From time to time I may have spoken to a CEO about how to make decisions like this and what are the important factors even though the circumstances, I presume, would be wildly different. But I never thought about it in the context of the commercial success of the NFL. That’s never been a factor for me from day one. The intent here was to do the right thing with a young man’s life and for the game of football and the NFL, and that’s what I tried to do.

From Sunday Mar 29. I get upset at the way the QB many times has to much power and publicity seeing the NFL is a team game. I also believe that every player needs to have total respect for the coach. This said I believe that Josh McDaniels was very stupid for trying to trade Jay Cutler to get his New England QB from last season Matt Cassel.
Hopefully Jay can now suck it up and get back training with the Bronco's but reports are suggesting he wants out. It's time for
Pat Bowlen to fire Josh McDaniels and keep Jay Cutler who has been the best Bronco's QB since the legend John Elway retired. I went right off on this topic last Friday night on SportsRage with Gabriel Morency on Sirius Satellite radio Channel 98. For the

(NFL
Commissioner Roger Goodell’s opening statement)
“Before we talk about the spectacular show last night, let me just take
a minute to thank all of you, and most importantly, our host: the people
of Tampa Bay. It was a spectacular week, obviously capped off by a
tremendous game. But we’re thrilled and we’re grateful to everybody
here who did such a spectacular job for us in making sure that we all had
a good week, and our visitors had a great week. I think (it’s) fair to
say that did occur. As far as the game, you all are talking the same way
we are: what an incredible performance by both clubs. The Cardinals
deserve a tremendous amount of credit for playing all the way and
(having) a tremendous season. But it’s the Steelers’ night. It was a
performance for the ages. It was something that I think we’ll all
remember, a back and forth game with some great team performances and
some great individual performances … We’re here to celebrate that.
We’re here to talk to the MVP. Santonio Holmes had just an
extraordinary night. It was really something to marvel at. We’re
thrilled that he’s here, and we’re thrilled that Mike (Tomlin) is
here. They represent everything that’s great in the NFL, and we’re
proud that they’re here. I’d like to bring up Santonio to get his MVP
trophy.”
(Santonio
Holmes’ opening statement) “It’s definitely a pleasure to be here. I’d like to thank my
teammates, and first of all, thank the Lord upstairs for allowing me to
be here and the opportunity he gave me to step out on the field and play
to the best of my ability. I’d definitely like to thank the fans for
their support (and for) being here, my family, my kids, everybody
that’s been there through all the thick and thin, helping (to) provide
the way for me, keeping me humble throughout the whole time I’ve been
going up and down as far as this season. I’m really excited about
getting back to Pittsburgh for this parade so that we can definitely
enjoy it all together. So I’m open for any questions.”
(on
whether he knows Jaguars RB Fred Taylor) “We’re actually second cousins. So I definitely know a lot about
him.”
(on
whether he will meet with Taylor in the near future) “I know he’s probably not going to want to bother me now. A lot’s
going on. But I’ll definitely hear from him within the next couple
days. I’ll definitely get a chance to spend some time with him this
offseason. I know he’s very proud of me right now, coming from where we
came from, the first guy from my high school, from my college, to win MVP
of the Super Bowl. This is truly a blessing.”
(on
what he did last night and whether Hines Ward has talked to him about how
being the MVP of the Super Bowl changed his life) “Last night, I just spent time with my kids. I didn’t not want to be
with the fans at the time, but I think my play on the field and everybody
that witnessed me holding up that trophy, that sticky Lombardi, and being
able to celebrate with everybody at the time, I’m pretty sure I knew
that they appreciated that. But I definitely spent a lot of time with my
kids, made sure they were well taken care of. I put on a movie. They were
very excited about watching Madagascar 2 last night. We definitely spent
a little time together, watched the movie. I really just stayed in and
relaxed a lot. As far as talking to Hines about what’s definitely going
to change about my life, he just told me, ‘Stay humble.’ Things are
going to come for me, (I just need to) be ready to represent my family,
this team, and this whole organization, because everybody behind me has
my back. (He told me,) don’t lose sight of where I came from and
definitely what I’m trying to accomplish for the rest of my life.”
(on
what went wrong on the play before his game-winning touchdown) “It definitely can be thought of as redemption. It was a play that I
should’ve made. Ben (Roethlisberger) put the ball where only I could
catch it. I really took my eyes off of it thinking about keeping my feet
down before I got my hands on the ball and just lost sight of the ball.
But coming back, and having the faith in me and believing that I could be
the one to make that play, he gave me the opportunity in the back of the
end zone and I promised myself this time that I wouldn’t lift those
feet off the ground.”
(on
what he was thinking about the Larry Fitzgerald hype this week) “It was definitely our destiny to win the Super Bowl. I knew that he
was a great player. He’s been doing great things thus far in the
postseason, but I wasn’t worried about him. We have the number-one
defense. We have guys that were definitely going to push forward to stop
him from being the big-play guy that he has been all postseason. My
thoughts, though, on how the game played out: it played exactly how it
was supposed to. Our defense stepped up when they needed to. They gave up
some big plays, but at the same time, when they really needed to clamp
down on that offense, they did just that. (I) focused on what I know how
to do and what my coaches allow me to do. I really wasn’t worried about
anybody else. The Cardinals can’t win the Super Bowl for the Steelers.
I know what I can do for this team, and the coaches and the players
allowed me to just do that.”
(on
his fluctuating performance throughout the year and why he was able to
then come back from that and be the MVP of the Super Bowl) “Having that faith come from my quarterback and hearing him day in and
day out, every Sunday, telling me, ‘Just stick with me no matter what
goes on throughout the game, and we’re going to make plays together.’
Just hearing that from a guy that believes in the third-year guy, and
allowing me to just go out there and play freely. The coaches, they
always have my back 100 percent. Coach T (Tomlin), he’s always been
there for me. We always have side conversations on and off the field.
He’s just been believing in me in being a playmaker for him.
Unfortunately (for the Cardinals), things happened the way we planned it,
you know? My off-the-field goals that I set for myself to win the Super
Bowl and to be a Pro Bowler didn’t (completely) work out in my favor,
but I think that hoisting that sticky Lombardi Trophy works out more in
my favor than anything.”
(on
his off-the-field incident earlier this season) “The next day, I came in to work after that happened, and I sat down
and had a meeting with Coach Tomlin. He told me how he felt, and he told
me that he was going to handle the situation accordingly. At first, I
didn’t want to hear that from my head coach. I was hoping that he just
trusted my word that nothing went wrong, but I see that he put me in a
better situation by handling the situation firsthand, getting the
distractions away from the team, and away from myself, and allowing me to
come back to the team the following week, ready to go. He accepted all of
that.”
(on
naming his game-winning catch) “I haven’t really thought about it. I’ll leave it up to my family
members. They’re definitely going to throw some things out there for me
to think about once I get a chance to settle down and talk to the family
and spend some time with them. I’ll definitely have a name for that
play once it’s all said and done.”
(on
if this win was vindication for him and Ben Roethlisberger) “I think those quick passes early in the game kind of got him in the
flow of the game and allowed him to relax. He knew he didn’t have any
pressure on getting me the ball. We talked all week that if I get
(double) teamed in the game early, I know that he’s going to feel
comfortable playing the in the Super Bowl and (that) is going to allow
him to just go out and play more freely. We all made plays tonight,
myself, Hines Ward and Nate Washington, and we definitely can’t forget
Heath (Miller). With the ability that Ben has to scramble, get open and
escape from guys and throw us the ball, that’s what we do. Having a
6-5, 250-260 pound quarterback, knowing the
strength and play-making ability that he has, we always know that there
is a play to be made, no matter what.”
From Sat Jan 31. Wow! It's the
Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl. They will play the Pittsburgh
Steelers!
I'm hoping that the Cardinals can win the Super Bowl. In the NFC the Arizona Cardinals defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 32
to 25 in a great game. In the AFC the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the
Baltimore Ravens 23 to 14. I enjoyed watching the NFC game at the
magnificent Shanks Sports Bar here in Calgary while also talking NFL with
Nate.

Ben Graham of the Arizona Cardinals a former
Australian Football League player will be
the 1st Aussie I believe to ever play
in a Super Bowl!
Ben will be the 1st Aussie to ever play in a Super Bowl.
Ben was a great player for the Geelong Cats in the AFL Australian
Football League and then played for the New York Jets before the Cardinals in 08-09.
Ben
Graham has been getting good write ups in Aussie newspapers and on TV. On
the Score TV (a National CDN cable TV network) their NFL analyst Scott
Salisbury a former NFL QB on Friday morning talked extensively about how
Special Teams play especially punting and goal kicking could play a big
role in Sundays Super Bowl. He then talked about Ben Graham's leg
strength and ability to land the football within the 10 yard line being
better than Steelers punter Mitch Berger. This was great to listen to as
punters don't very often get much good press in North America.
Mitch
is a Canadian from Vancouver BC Footy Aussie Rules Footy area. I met
Mitch briefly at a NFL All Star Pro Bowl game in Hawaii in 2001 and the
saw him in Vancouver. A screw punt that he did near the end of the the
NFC Championship game against the Ravens nearly cost the Steelers a win.
It was a terrible, approx 15 metre punt.
Good luck to Ben and the Cardinals who I will be going for in
the Super Bowl.
