Mon, Sept 29 '03 " Myk Aussie interviews Mike Pringle for Eskimos Total-CFLwebTV! 1 on 1 with Eskimo's Kelvin Kinney!" Moose

Friday night after the Eskies demolished the Lions, Myk Aussie for Total-CFLwebTV & Montreal radio interviewed one of my all time favorite players, the 2nd best RB in CFL history, Mike "Stallion" Pringle. Among the questions asked was if Mike missed Montreal, which he said he did since his family was treated so well.

Also Mike reminisced about his days with the great Baltimore Stallion clubs of 1994 & 1995. Mike said he was glad to be back in the city where his career started in the CFL. It was a great night being back in Edmonton as the 'Economy with Dignity" World Footy continues. Met lots of great fans including Mr. Fudge and co. Fri, Sept 19 03' "Grey Cup MVP 2001 Marcus Crandell to marry today!" Myk 

It's the week off for the Stampeders but it's definitely not a week off for Marcus Crandell as today he will marry his fiancée Mona a beautiful lady from Regina. 

Marcus Crandell won the MVP Award in the Grey Cup 2001 in Montreal in which he lead the Stampeders to a amazing win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. It's another Big day for Marcus today as he walks down the aisle! All the best Marcus & Mona. You are both very friendly and great people!" Myk Aussie

Wed, Sept 17 03' "Why I love the CFL! The CFL fans & players I met is amazing! This report is especially for the many Bomber & Stamps fans!" Myk Aussie

As walk from my home to the Stamps ground I particularly enjoy putting up the Total-CFL/mykaussie.com leaflets on Dave Bronco’s bridge. As a fan gets off the train he gladly picks one up & says “about time I came across some footy literature” Glad I could help you mate, here’s the best Stamps website & TV station in the World, Enjoy!

Dave Bronco has made these magnificent clear plastic sheets on the bridge that I am sure are there for advertising so I gladly flood the train bridge with my footy promotional material.

After chatting to many footy fans including Mike at GoStampsGo.com I venture to the Total-CFL Tailgate Party. Unfortunately I missed seeing Brad Total-CFL Founder as he had already headed off to sit with the Hall Of Fame special quests, Brad a guest of Riders legend kicker Dave Ridgeway for the weekend activities.

The game starts, I chat to Cwoc Fanny Anny the sexy Total-CFLwebTV co-host, I give her a Mike Sellers CFL card for her nephew and after also chatting to Dr Zoom I eventually made it to my front row expensive seat compliments of RoadsportAutocredit.com. This great seat is right behind Duncan “Crazykicker” and the Stamps players but Nuffy my mate has already gone home as it was raining and blowing a gale. I’m thinking if I was Windsurfing as it would have been 4.5metre sail weather. Nuffy must have listened to Calgary TV’s “often exaggerated” weather forecast saying it was going to be a sunny 18 degrees Celsius and thus he wore shorts thinking it was still summer.  Yep again it happened, they often exaggerate/lie about the weather forecast here in Calgary to help the depressive messed up people. I then feel happy as Duncan scores his 1^st ever CFL goal kicking points.

With a few minutes to go in the 1^st half I head out to the tailgate party and luckily run into the big fella star Bomber Chris Walby. Chris and his Hall Of Fame mates were all ready to take a nice tour of McMahon Stadium in the old convertible cars, they were looking cold as they must have also believed the wrong weather forecast. Chris who is now a CBC CFL commentator remembered me from Grey Cup in Edmonton and then I had the pleasure of meeting Dave Ridgeway. “Yes Myk Aussie I read Total-CFL regularly” Dave. I also have a good chat to the very tall and fit looking George McGowan the Eskimo legend congratulating him on being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Throughout the 3rd term term I wander through the different stand entrances and am constantly yelling out “Go Marcus! Go Stamps Red and White, Canadian colors, Good guys wear white! Glad we are wearing Red and White as we should be, we might win today! Lets go Lawrence, make some holes for Lawrence you guys. Yeh! Our high paid defense is finally playing as a team!” Many in the crowd look at me and wonder! I can’t believe it we head into the final term a chance especially with the strong wind blowing straight down the ground.

The 4^th quarter I take up my favorite position behind the Olympic Rings, try and chat up some Cwoc’s walking past and again continually yell out “Go Marcus!”

After the amazing win Oldpaint, Sugarfoot and Hoof “FTroop” were amongst the happiest people in the World. Hoof unusually now wearing “FTroop” on his Stampeders jersey?

Now it’s off to see the Bomber players so again I wait near the visitors bus to meet the Bombers. First of all I run into one of my very favorite CFL players Big Mike Sellers now with “Big hair”. Mike remembered me. Then I shake hands with Charles Roberts and tell him he is a star, then there he is Mr Coates the Bomber media boss “How are you Mr Coates” I politely ask. “Good” was the reply. Now I thought that’s weird how can you be a Bombers official and feeling good after just being beaten by the Stamps?

Then there he is Milt Stegall the reigning CFL MVP!  Milt is obviously upset with the shock loss but he is happy to chat with me. “Milt here you go have this. You’re on Bombers Total-CFLwebTV” as I give him a Total-CFL/mykaussie leaflet. We then chat about the question I asked him at the CFL MVP media press conference. “Milt remember how I asked you how you felt about Bob Cameron saying you were the best receiver he has ever seen in the CFL. Remember all the other media guys were wondering how an Aussie knew so much about the CFL” as Milt remembers this memorable night in Eskimoland and laughs. "Mr Khari Jones good to see you again" "Myk how are you" as a disappointed Khari gets on the bus.

Here come the big fella’s as a disappointed Dave Ritchie walks out, but he gladly shakes my hand as I wish him all the best in the race to the 2003 Grey Cup. I have a great chat to Dave Mudge the Offensive Lineman of the year in 2001 and another great Bomber. Here he comes big Moe! “Myk Aussie you are everywhere! Are you going to the Grey Cup this year” Moe Elewonibi the former Okanagan Sun, Washington Redskins and BC Lions Champ. “Yes Mow I’ll be there. I see you’re playing Center now. Are you getting ready to replace Barrett Robins down there at the Raiders?” Moe laughs. Actually every time I see Moe during my CFL footy travels all over Canada he laughs. A great fella!

After sticking a Total-CFL/mykaussie leaflet  on Mark Stephen’s QR77 van I venture to Mooses thinking that was a lot of fun to again meet up with the Bomber players. Not only did I get to interview these star players in the Bomber locker rooms in 2002 but I also got to have a chat to many of them who were out and about “early in the week” at some of the best Cwoc Hunting Clubs in Winnipeg.

The great day continues, as it’s party time at Mooses with the great footy loving Cwoc’s, Stamps fans and many of the Stamps players. Duncan is there, he thanks me for his new “Duncan webWORLD”. I introduce Fanny Anny to Darnell McDonald as Fanny Anny likes the tall fella’s. I thank Marcus for going on Montreal radio for me after the win against the Eskimo’s, I tell him the Montreal SportsRagers loved it and I also wish Marcus and his lady all the best for Friday, their wedding day.

The big fella Aries Monroe is one friendly guy and I again have a great chat to Canadian Scott Regimbald. The injured Aldi Henry was happy when I told him that the Stamps were auctioning his jersey today. I ask the 2002 Stamps star Wane McGarity if he’s going to resign but he looks at me and says “Myk Aussie NFL again maybe!”. “The Big Chill” Freddy Childress is there “Freddy how’s the back?” “OK Myk, are you behaving yourself lately?” Fred, “Yes, lately Freddy”.  Wide Receiver Latario Rachal tells me about his time at the NFL and again the waitresses and Cwoc’s in the crowd are looking fantastic and being friendly.

There he is Marvin Coleman! The former BC Lion and Stampeder decided to stay a night in Calgary. Marvin is one funny guy so as I am chatting to him at the pool table I say “Marvin have you seen these, the magnificent new CFL Player Cards? Are you in them” “Not sure Myk Aussie”. “Well lets find out” so seeing I had nine brand new packets in my pocket Marvin was like a little boy frantically opening all the packs seeing if I he was featured. Many of Marvin’s mates were in these particular packs but not Marvin.

Tues, Sept 9 03  "Marcus does me a big favor!" Myk Aussie

Thanks Marcus you Champ as I shock his hand at 11pm last Monday night after their big win against the Eskimos. Marcus agreed & did me a big favor last Monday night. On the Friday night SportsRage Gabriel Morency said he wanted me to do a Monday night report for him from Stamps game.

I was on for 15 seconds introducing the MVP of Grey Cup 2001 & then Marcus went on SportsRage for a interview.

When I called back Northstar a legend call in guy was saying how happy he was that he got a chance to listen to the great Marcus Crandell interview!

Why I am I posting this today ?? Yes Marcus a had a shocker Friday night in Edmonton but so did 97% of his Stamps mates. All week Joe Sports radio guy will be ripping into Marcus. Mark Stephen at QR77 & his listeners did tonight to some extent as well. 

I'm not listening to the Joe Sports radio show this week. I'll be listening to music instead & later this week releasing "Myk's Music MYKwebTV" instead. What a great start I have to "Myk's Music MYKwebTV" as I have 1 on 1's with Bif Naked, Swollen Members & me & Moose at the Shania Twain Super Bowl media conference. Cwoc Shania was the main 1/2 time stay of the recent 2002 CFL Grey Cup in Edmonton." Myk

The magnificent new CFL Pacific Player cards were a big hit yesterday especially amongst the Total-CFLers. Eskinator & Great White North seemed to really like the Eskimo cards I gladly gave them. A new star to Total-CFL a Profile for "Roar from Lionbackers Fan Club!"

"Myk Aussie my interest in Football started from a very early age.  I can remember watching both CFL Football and Hockey with my Dad. (I think he was hoping for a boy, but watching with me would do in the mean time.  I think he was disappointed in the end, as I only have one sister and neither of us was into sports like he was growing up.)  My Mom recently dug up a photo of me at age 3 clutching a regulation size football, while blowing out my birthday candles.  My hair was shorter then, I think, to avoid the helmet hair syndrome!  Just kidding.  Until the last 6 years or so the town where I grew up, Campbell River on Vancouver Island, BC, did not have a football team, Rugby yes, but not football.  By this time I had moved to Vancouver, previously graduating from both high school and college in Nanaimo which did not provide me with a chance to get into the sport directly.  However, the years my love of the sport endured. Moving to Vancouver in 1994 and after the 1994 Grey Cup game, hosted in Vancouver, I have purchased season tickets every year since 1995.  I have not looked back.  To date I have only missed 4 or 5 home games since 1995 the season and have made up for this by attending as many or more away games in either Edmonton or Calgary. 

  One fond memory is having family and friends think that I was crazy to buy six Grey Cup 2000 tickets in early May - June, before training camp was even finished and the first regular season game took place.  My intuition was working and I always knew that not only would BC make the cut, but also win.  And win we did!  It was a fantastic game and the experience was great!  If I could, I would travel to all the Grey Cup games.  Nevertheless, alas, funds and time off do not always co-inside.  In my heart and soul, I am there, cheering for my team!

  My co-workers call me the biggest football fan as every Halloween contest I appear with all my BC Lions memorabilia and go as the number one fan!  I have received honorable mention and a few departmental prizes over the years.  My desk is decked out with flags of all sizes, orange and black pom-poms, T-shirts, autographed footballs, programs and posters to name a few items.  Temporary Tattoos, face paint and BC Lion's T-shirts round out my costume.  It is a lot of fun collecting new things to bring.  This year the lunch box will be present, along with the new players’ cards.

  Over the years I have become involved with the Lion Backers Fan Club, The Official Fan Club of the BC Lions, initially I was asked to sub-in a secretary in her absence for a monthly meeting and the rest was history.  I have been able to meet and greet the players from 1995 to present.  I have since been a participant on the Executive in both the Secretary and more recently the Treasurer's roll.  In addition to the executive positions I also participate by editing our monthly newsletter, developing and buying merchandise, keeping the membership lists up-to-date and assisting at the Game Day booth were we sell our merchandise and memberships to BC Lions and CFL fans.

My belief is that the CFL is currently the best-played football anywhere.  The enthusiasm of the players, coaches and even management makes watching this game even more exciting.   I continue to be an avid watcher of all the teams - in order to evaluate the competition - each week, of course, cheering the loudest for our very own BC Lions.  As in 2000, my intuition tells me that BC will be in the final playoffs again."
