July 31st 05 "NHL Hockey is Back finally! Future star Sidney Crosby drafted
a Penguin! Peter Forsberg to the Canucks?" Myk Aussie
Well
after a year of bull crap TV watching the NHL lockout reports we can now talk
about the upcoming NHL season. As I mentioned last night on SportsRage, I firmly
believe NHL Hockey fans can mainly blame Bob Badenow (Goodenow is his real name)
and Trevor Linden for the year lockout however the owners did help create the
over paid player problem. Flames champ Jarome Iginla stood up half way through
the lockout to wonder why this was al happening but was shot down huge by the
player union bosses. Lots of rubbish was spoken for the past year and it was
terribly boring TV.
Peter
Forsberg to the Canucks to join Marcus Naslund and Todd Bertuzzi was the rumor
this week while Ti Domi may be joining Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby at
the Pittsburgh Penguins. Now I'd like to see that Ti protecting the young future
star who wasdrafted yesterday to Mario's team. Lets wait and see." Myk

Moose's report!" Myk Aussie
From
Moose American Hockey League / NHL Update The
Norfolk Admirals now sit atop the East Division in the Eastern
Conference with 71 points. They lead their Division by
one point. The other AHL Division leaders include: The other
Admirals, the ones in Milwaukee,

of fights I can tell you that." Myk Aussie
Mon,
Feb 21 05 "NHL Hockey season is definitely cancelled! My thoughts!"
The
past 3-4 mths has been the most boring Sports TV coverage ever in Canada in
regards to the hockey lockout. Night after night the same rubbish over and over
and over again. Yak, yak, yak, rave on, rave on rave on.
In
the end it apparently came to this. The Players finally agreed to a Salary cap
of $49 million US per team with a $25 million minimum, tax things and the right
to exceed the cap by up to 10% twice during the six year contact.
The
owners who have always controlled the dammed disgraceful situation said this or
no season. Salary cap of $42.5 million per team, no minimum, no tolerance for
exceeding cap. Thus no deal was struck.
Hockey
Fans must now realize it's nearly spring time anyway. The normal hockey season
goes way to late anyway as was seen last year when Flames Star Jarome Iginla and
his mates should have taken their water ski's to Tampa Bay instead of their
skates as it was 30 degree Celsius weather and thus warm inside the arena
causing water not ice. I could go on and on in regards to Canada National loved
sport and a great sport but I won't. Hockey is in trouble in many cities the US.
I think mainly because there's not enough scoring, the US fans need more than
the fights they need to see scoring. The goalie's and their massive pads! What's
with that? Reduce the goalie pads please or make the nets bigger and lets yell
and cheer more with more scoring. Dirrr that's a no brainer surely.
In
the end the owners caused the problem of the players getting paid to much but
then the players were stupid by not getting back on the ice and realizing they
were way overpaid. It's not that bad up here in Canada as the CFL will be
starting soon" Myk Aussie

a great AHL game in Norfolk with lots of fights! Moose's AHL & NHL Update"
Myk Aussie
On
the way to Super Bowl I went to Norfolk, Virginia to meet up with Moose and
Scotty, MYKwebWORLD columnists.
From
Moose "In the NHL, there is still no word on when the work stoppage will be
turned around. In the meantime, there is very fine Hockey being plyed in the 69
year old American Hockey League. There are now 29 teams in the AHL, including 4
in Canada; Winnipeg, St. John's, Hamilton and Edmonton have American Hockey
League teams.
Saturday night, the MYKwebTV team of Myk Aussie, Rich Salzer, Scott Baxter and
Sam Agami attended the Norfolk Admirals game v. the Springfield Falcons. Goons
would have been a better name for the Springfield bunch. Not only did they lose
their second con- secutive game at Scope Arena in two nights (3-1 this time),
but lost 6 of eight fights as well! Scott, Myk and I ate our Pregame meal at
Shula's 347 at a nearby Hotel. Shula's now has 41 loactions in the US and I ate
at the one in the Indianapolis Westin Hotel back in April of 2003.
That time I attended the Indiana Firebirds game v. Grand Rapids, who had CFL DLm,
Demetrious Maxie, on the squad.
Other Scores from the AHL last night were: Providence 3, Portland 3 Milwaukee
(the League's other 'Admirals', who won the Calder Cup last year) 3, Grand
Rapids 2 Syracuse 2, Wilkes-Barre / Scranton 1 Houston 3, Chicago 2 Utah 3,
Manitoba 2 St. John's 3, Rochester 3 Cleveland 2, Hamilton 3 Hartford 6, Worcester
5 Lowell 2, Hershey 1 Albany 4, Binghamton 0 Bridgeport 2, Philadelphia 1"

News!" Moose
There are two videos out that I
found on the Internet yesterday that I didn't
have, on veteran Coaches Corner Analyst Don Cherry. Cherry, a Canadian
spent a good portion of his life living and playing in the NHL (1 playoff
game) and every 'AAA' Pro League in the U.S. The 1st video is a CBC
special from 1996 that I had never seen before. It is what I would refer
to as a "lost" one. I ordered it from a Canadian Sports video ware-
house. It was copywrited c'96. The
other video I put in an advanced order
for is of course, Don Cherry #16, available Nov. 9th, to be shipped on Nov.
16th, the day before I leave for the Grey Cup I ordered Don
Cherry #16 from Ontario's Frozen Pond, who I got my autographed Mike Modano
plaque & picture from.
More on Don Cherry; Check out
his career Coaching stats from Boston & Colorado (Hardy Astrom, that's
why!) below. Cherry had a career winning percentage of .638% (includes
reg. season and playoffs!).

Oct 27 04 "NHL Hockey
is still on strike and the CDN's are getting wilder every day. Mike Canuck's NHL
Strike update!" Myk Aussie
"I
have to say that I'm with the owners on the latest report. If they offer the
players 53% of the revenue and an
average salary of 1.3 million and they refuse,
it's their problem. The owners are running a business and need to
think about financial impacts, which the players don't seem to care about.
Sure, a billionaire owner can likely lose money for a while, but why
should they have to. Players need to wake up and take a fair deal instead
of trying to cripple the NHL with salaries that don't make sense.
You can read the audit report that was done on the site link here. Facts
are facts.

"Yes
the NHL Players are way way overpaid in a sport that is huge in Canada and only
Big in some parts of the USA. And I still don't feel sorry for Jaromir Jagr one
of the richest NHL Players getting dumped by his model babe girlfriend last
year." Myk Aussie

04 "Help the NHL! Americans
and Canadians have come together as never before in our generation."
Myk Aussie
It didn't take long for the fans
to rip into the players. This could be a long drawn out battle. Some excellent
sarcasm below.
"F.... Jagr makes more in two
days than I make all year, $32K US per day!" Mike
"Yeh Mike and certain media
wanted us to feel sorry for Jagr when his model girlfriend dumped his sorry out
of form ass! He was the best player when I came here 7 years ago" Myk
From Mike "Americans and Canadians have
come together as never before in our generation. We have banded together to
overcome tremendous adversity. We have weathered wars overseas,
corporate/government scandal, layoffs, unemployment, stock price plunges,
droughts, fires, mad cow, SARS, high gasoline prices, and a myriad of economic
and physical disasters both great and small. But now, we must come
together once again to overcome our greatest challenge yet: Hundreds of
Professional Hockey players in our two nations are going to be locked out,
forced to live at well below the seven-figure salary level.
And as if that weren't bad enough they could be deprived of their life giving
pay for several months, possibly longer, as a result of the upcoming lockout
situation. But you can help! For only $20,835 a month, about $694.50 a day
(that's less than the cost a large screen projection TV) you can help an NHL
player remain economically viable during his time of need. This contribution by
no means solves the problem as it barely covers the minimum salary, but it's a
start, and every little bit will help! Although $700 may not seem like a lot of
money to you, to an NHL hockey player it could mean the difference between
spending the lockout golfing in Florida or on a Mediterranean cruise. For you,
seven hundred dollars is nothing more than a month's rent, half a mortgage
payment, or a month of medical insurance, but to a hockey player, $700 will
partially replace his daily salary.
Your commitment of less than $700 a day will enable a player to buy that
>home entertainment center, trade in the year-old Lexus for a new Ferrari, or
enjoy a weekend in Rio. HOW WILL YOU KNOW THAT YOU'RE HELPING? Each month, you
will receive a complete financial report on the player you sponsor. Detailed
information about his stocks, bonds, real estate, and other investment holdings
will be mailed to your home. Plus, upon signing up for this program, you will
receive an unsigned photo of the player lounging during the lockout on a beach
somewhere in the Caribbean (for a signed photo, please include an additional
$150).
Put the photo on your refrigerator to remind you of other peoples' suffering.
HOW WILL HE KNOW YOU'RE HELPING? Your NHL player will be told that he has a
SPECIAL FRIEND who just wants to help in a time of need. Although the player
won't know your name, he will be able to make collect calls to your home via a
special operator in case additional funds are needed for his unforeseen
expenses. YES, I WANT TO HELP! I would like to sponsor a locked out NHL player.
My preference is (check below): [ ] Forward [ ] Defenseman [ ] Goaltender [ ]
Entire team (Please call our 900 number to ask for the cost of a specific team -
$10 per minute) [ ] Jaromir Jagr (Higher cost: $32,000 per day)
Please charge the account listed below $694.50 per day for the duration >of
the lockout. Please send me a picture of the player I have sponsored, along with
an Jaromir Jagr 2001 Income Statement and my very own Bob Goodenow (Executive
Director of the NHLPA player's Union) pin to wear proudly on my hat (include $80
for hat). Your Name: _____________________________ >Telephone

wins the World Cup of Hockey! NHL Lockout!
On
Tuesday night Canada defeated Finland and won the World Cup of Hockey. It was a
great game and a great night in Vancouver as many celebrated the win.
But then on Wed the NHL lockout became official thus the millions of Canadian
Hockey lovers seemed quite upset at this terrible situation. I was on CKNW
Vancouver Sports radio this week expressing how the players are paid way to
much, the season is way to long and go CFL while hockey is done for
awhile.
I like NHL but I love CFL and NFL. CFL will now have a chance to gain ground
amngst the Canadian sports fans while the rich overpaid hockey players have a
holiday spending there millions. For the Sports fans sake mainly here in Canada
lets hope the NHL starts in Jan or Feb just after the CFL 04 season finishes and
the NFL is about to finish" Myk Aussie

"Oh no Craig Conroy leaves the
Flames! Todd
Bertuzzi in court tomorrow!" Myk Aussie
I
can't believe Craig Conroy has left the Flames! What's with that ? $$$ I
suppose. Maybe cause he's American he got home sick but no that's no right he's
from New York way and he's signed with the Los Angeles Kings. Maybe he wants to
go chase Pammy after watching Pammy MYKwebTV! Craig definitely helped me win the
Hockey Pools during the recent Playoffs as he was a great player for Calgary.
However as I am Pro Canada here on NHL Ice Hockey webWORLD I can not wish him to
much luck at the Kings.
Todd's
in Vancouver court tomorrow. I better go sniffing around there see if I can find
the "Non Cwoc" that sat playing with herself watching the Hockey
during her investigation the past 4 mths. Read below if you are wondering what I
am talking about." Myk Aussie
