 Sat,
       Oct 9 04 "Bears,
Bengals, Chiefs and Eagles are the sure bets this week in a very tough Rd
       5 of the NFL!"
 The
above 4 teams are a sure bet not to loose as they are all having a week
off. What a tough Rd it is to pick. Don't be surprised if I score low
       this week but here goes.
        Steelers
over Browns although Jeff Garcia is looking better now with his new team,
Pat's over Fish I think is the only safe bet this week, Cowboys
over Giants just. Chis "Cowboy" Corean is there and called
into SportsRage last night saying the place is going crazier more over
the NCAA Clash this weekend than the NFL, Saints over Buc's just, Jags
over Chargers, Bronco's over Panthers but I'm only saying that
cause I always pick the Bronco's, Ravens over Redskins. Jamal
Lewis has been suspended for 2 games by he NFL to take effect Oct 14 and
then he goes in the Slammer for 4 mths at the end of January, Wow! More
sports guys in trouble, watch what you say on cell phones guys. Jamal got
busted arranging a drug deal on his cell phone a few years ago and this
       week pleaded guilty.
        Falcons
over Lions, Vikings over Texans but I'm only picking the Vikings
because I like them. The Texans are on a roll so it could be a real close
game, Colts over Raiders, Jets over Bills, Cardinals
over 49ers. I can't believe it I'm picking the Cardinals over the 49ers.
It just shows how bad the 49ers are this year, the Cardinals have keep
teams to low scores on many of the games this year, Seahawks over
Rams I'll be down in Seattle so I gotta go for the Hawks but again it
wouldn't surprise me if the Rams win, Packers over the Tits. That
is the hardest week I have ever had in picking the NFL. It could be a
crash and burn week. Can't wait!" Myk Aussie

VOTERS SELECT JAGUARS QB BYRON LEFTWICH & GIANTS RB TIKI BARBER AS
WEEK 4 FEDEX AIR & GROUND NFL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Quarterback
BYRON LEFTWICH of the Jacksonville Jaguars and running back TIKI BARBER
of the New York Giants are the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the
Week for games played on October 3-4, the NFL announced today. Leftwich
completed 29 of 41 passes for 318 yards and one touchdown for a passer
rating of 101.5 in the Jaguars’ 24-17 loss to the AFC South-rival
Indianapolis Colts. His 40-yard, fourth-quarter touchdown pass to wide
receiver Jimmy Smith on fourth down tied the score at 17 before the
       Colts’ final score. Barber
carried 23 times for 182 yards and one touchdown in the Giants’ 14-7
victory over the Green Bay Packers. His touchdown came on a 52-yard run
       in the third quarter. Leftwich
and Barber were selected from among finalists in air and ground
categories through 34,786 fan votes. The other FedEx Express NFL Player
of the Week finalists were quarterbacks TOM BRADY of the New England
Patriots and DREW BREES of the San Diego Chargers, while running backs
EMMITT SMITH of the Arizona Cardinals and PRIEST HOLMES of the Kansas
City Chiefs were the other finalists for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of
       the Week. Fans
voted for more than their favorite players. The weekly FedEx Air &
Ground NFL Players of the Week Awards are also a win for the local
community. Along with the player awards, FedEx is awarding Wolfson
Children's Hospital and Tomorrows Children’s Fund, the Children’s
Hospital in each winning market, a check for $5,000. The
children’s hospitals in the two season-long winner’s markets,
announced at this year’s Super Bowl, will be awarded $25,000 each. That
means that FedEx will deliver nearly $250,000 to local children’s
hospitals around the country in recognition of the FedEx Air & Ground
NFL Players of the Week Award winners. FedEx,
the premier global provider of transportation, e-commerce and
supply-chain management services, is the Official Delivery Service
Sponsor of the NFL, Super Bowl and Pro Bowl. Through the weekly FedEx Air
and Ground awards, FedEx recognizes those NFL players who represent the
same speed, precision and teamwork that their customers have come to
expect from the full range of FedEx air, ground, freight and
       international shipping services NFL.COM
VOTERS SELECT STEELERS QB BEN ROETHLISBERGER AS WEEK 4 PEPSI NFL ROOKIE

on NFL.com have made their choice. Quarterback BEN ROETHLISBERGER of the
Pittsburgh Steelers is the PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK for games played

Steelers’ 28-17 victory over the AFC North-rival Cincinnati Bengals.
Roethlisberger put Pittsburgh ahead 14-7 in the second quarter with an
11-yard touchdown pass to fullback Verron Haynes. More
than 70,000 fans voted this week on NFL.com. Roethlisberger was selected
from among five finalists. The other finalists were wide receiver MICHAEL
CLAYTON of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, wide receiver LEE EVANS of the
Buffalo Bills, running back STEVEN JACKSON of the St. Louis Rams and kick
returner-punt returner B.J. SAMS of the Baltimore Ravens. After

       - FIRST FOUR WEEKS MEAN FAST STARTS & HEART-POUNDING FINISHES Pull
the shoulder harness to your stomach and fasten your safety belt – the
thrill ride known as the NFL’s 2004 season has more than three-quarters
of track to run before pulling into Super Bowl XXXIX on February 6 in
       Jacksonville.  And
if the rest of the season is like anything we’ve seen, there’s no
knowing where the next turn will take you. In
the AFC, rookie quarterback BEN ROETHLISBERGER has the Steelers (3-1)
leading the AFC North.  A rejuvenated CURTIS MARTIN has helped the
Jets reach 3-0 for the third time in club history, tying them for the AFC
East lead with New England, which this Sunday goes for its 19th
consecutive win, including playoffs, for the longest winning streak in
NFL history.  Also, a team that has mastered the power of positive
       thinking – Jacksonville’s 3-1 “Cardiac Cats” Jaguars – has
claimed its three wins by a 2.3-point average margin of victory. Eleven
of the AFC’s 16 teams are 2-2 or better.  And the five clubs who
are sub-.500 find hope in the fact that since 1990, 10 NFL teams have
gone from three games below .500 to the postseason. “The
NFL is a competitive league,” says JEFF GARCIA, quarterback of the 2-2
Browns.  “Nothing comes easy and every week is a challenge.”
A challenge and a thrill ride. NFC
       - ALWAYS UNPREDICTABLE NFL STARTS SECOND QUARTERAs
the NFL kicks off the second quarter of its season this week, only one
thing is certain – uncertainty! The
unpredictable nature of the league has been evident through four weeks.
And there’s much more where that came from, beginning with one of
Sunday’s most anticipated matchups – the suddenly red-hot New York
Giants (3-1) facing their longtime rivals, the Dallas Cowboys (2-1). After
dropping their opener to Philadelphia on Kickoff Weekend, the Giants have
roared back with three consecutive victories, punctuated with a 14-7 road
win last Sunday over Green Bay. “That
was a phenomenal win for us,” said Giants defensive end MICHAEL STRAHAN.
Linebacker BARRETT GREEN added, “We wanted to show everyone against a
credible opponent that we can win.  We’re going to compete against
       anybody.” The
Giants will face yet another credible opponent this week when they travel
to division rival Dallas to face old friend BILL PARCELLS, the Cowboys’
head coach.  New Giants head coach TOM COUGHLIN was an assistant
under Parcells in New York from 1988-90, concluding their final season
together with a win in Super Bowl XXV. “We’re
in the division, we’re playing an outstanding team in the Dallas
Cowboys coming off a bye,” says Coughlin.  “We have a big game
to try to get ready for on Sunday.  Coach Parcells is a very good
friend of mine, but it’s the Dallas Cowboys against the New York
       Giants.” Nine
of the NFC’s 16 teams are 2-2 or better.  And the seven clubs who
are sub-.500 find hope in the fact that since 1990, 10 NFL teams have
gone from three games below .500 to the postseason. "It

Milestones yesterday - Emmitt Smith threw his first option pass of his 15
       yr. Pro career yesterday and
       guess what? TD!! In the
Cards first win for Coach Dennis Green. Emmitt also had
122 yards rushing boosting his career total to 17,701. Mike Pringle lags
       behind at 17,036. Smith had
by far his best game as a Cardinal. When Myk and
I met Emmitt at the Super Bowl M.V.P. Conference at Super Bowl XXXVII
in San Diego, he still had
that fire in his eye to keep playing even though he
knew he wouldn't be back in
Big 'D'. He thought by going to Arizona, where they
play on grass (mostly) that might keep him going for two more years.
       But behind that awful
Offencive line, it's been tough. The more power to ya,
Emmitt. Hope you hit 18,000. But I still hope Edmonton's Mike Pringle
       wins the alltime Pro
       Football rushing title!
Switch gears...Ladanian Tomlinson had another 100 yard game yesterday
       (yawn!) and in the
process broke Paul Lowe's career Chargers rushing mark. Cleveland P
       Chris Gardocki has now
played in 200 NFL games. Jerome (Short-yardage Bus)
Bettis (who I said earlier this year should be on blocks in a garage
       somewhere) is doing
something useful for Bill Cowher's Steelers. He has only
11 yards rushing on the season but 6 TDs on the ground. Speaking of
lighting it up, Terrell Owens is tied with Marvin Harrison and Randy
       (Overrated) Moss (not to be
confused with Edmonton's Jason) with 6
       receiving TDs. "Hey
hey Hey Moose don't pick on Randy! He is a Champ and one of my fav
       players" Myk Aussie.
How about that 24 yard run from fake punt formation by
Buffalo's Brian Moorman? What quickness and athletism! He should be
returning kicks or something. Kurt Warner's bubble finally broke. He
is human after all and did
throw and interception yesterday. But with Green
Bay's Brett Favre (twice!) and Doug Pederson getting hurt (they finished
with #3 Craig (Scotland) Nall in the lineup as time ran out..., The
       Giants DID win in Green
Bay, not easy to do! A huge game for Virginia's Terrance
(Tiki) Barber with 182 yards on the ground for the Giants.

My five game balls for yesterday: Emmitt Smith, Indy WR Brandon Stokley,
       Ladanina Tomlinson, Kurt
       Warner and Tiki Barber. Last
Monday night was prime example of why Washington is going nowhere fast
this year, despite the much-ballihooed "Re-Cyclement of Joe Gibbs
       again. With
only twenty or seconds left in the first half, Washington squandered
       severel time outs with the
ball on Dallas three yard line. Indecision? You bet!
Gibbs and two of his assistants,
Joe Bugel and Defencive Coordinator, Gregg Williams,
both of whom, like Gibbs are former NFL H.Coaches (of the Dave Ritchie
variety, I might add!). The three looked those old meatheads, the Three
Stooges, and none of them could agree on when and if to call a timeout.
But sturdy old Joe Gibbs asserted his MANHOOD by waving them (Bugel
and Williams) off the WATING A TIMEOUT they couldn't afford to take!
The same thing happened in the Cleveland game with Washington yesterday
in Dog Pound-land! Three times in the game Washington wasted timeouts
and at the end all the Browns QB Red Garcia had to do was take a
knee as the clock ticked out on another frustrated 'Skin's loss.

 I also found out
from Fox T.V. meathead, Brain Baldinger, the second dumbest Pro
Football commentator on air, that Gibbs now suffers from Diabetes!
       When he went to
Jacksonville to meet with a very fine QB, Mark Brunell, Brunell
had to rush Gibbs to the hospital because he had an allergic reaction to
some drug that HE TOOK INSTEAD OF HIS INSULIN! Boy, that 'Coach'
Dan(ny-boy) Snyder sure knows how to pick 'em! Bring back Coach
Ball-game! 'Baldy' then informed the FOx watchers that Gibbs &
       Brunell then spent the hour
in the Jacksonville hospital emergency room talking
Football...Boy, that's a relief, eh? Poor Mark Brunell! It'll be along
       season. Now the second
       part.... I really
like Terry Bradshaw, the former four-time Super Bowl winning QB from
the Steelers but did he stick his foot in his mouth yesterday on Fox's
       Pregame show: He said Jeff
       Garcia is "an average" QB.

 Whoa, dude! An average
QB is not gonna make the Pro Bowl three times. (For the record Terry
only made it TWICE!) and secondly, Garica won the Most Outstanding
Player Award in the CFL and
the Grey Cup with Calgary in '98. That was with Dave
Dickenson and Henry Burris breathing down his neck for playing time.
       Terry, you're wrong here.
Way wrong. And then when showing the highlights after
the game, Bradshaw then said: "And here's an 'average' TD throw from
       Red..." Stick to your
       Steelers, Terry. Switch gears... On
Larry Csonka Outdoors Saturday, OLNM showed a repeat of the show with
       Zonk fishing with George
Seifert, former two-time Super Bowl Coach with the Forty-Niners
when they were good/ and Carolina. A great show and guess what? My
choice for best lefy-QB of alltime in Pro Football history, Boomer
       Esianson has a
new show too. It's out of New York, and Boomer, don't you have enough on
       your hands trying to keep
Gumbel (who said 'NFL on TBS' yesterday, not CBS!),
 Dan
Marino and Shannon Sharpe?! Anyway, Boomer's guest were Don King and
       Byron Leftwich. A short and
overdue tribute to one of Larry Csonka' late, great
       friends, former New York
Giants RB/KR, Doug Kotar. Doug, who played for 7 yrs.
       with the Giants, and three
in the backfield with Zonk and former Calgary great
       Joe Pisarcik, rushed for
3,387 yards on 900 carries (3.8 avg.), 126 catches for
       1,022 yrds receiving, had
42 kick returns for 920 more yards and a total of 21

"My NFL Rd 4 picks with the expert help of Morency and the
       SportsRagers and Chris Cowboy Corean!"
 I
had a great time last night listening to Gabriel Morency's expert picks
and Goldberg the Goalie before my weekly segment on the Best Sports radio
show in the World, SportsRage. Along with the help of Chris Cowboy Corean
who will be at next weeks Cowboys vs Giants clash for MYKwebWORLD
       here are my NFL
Rd 4 picks with comments from last night.
 Eagles,
Redskins although Jeff Garcia could easily come good and the Browns
win. Packers in a close won over The Giants led by in form former
Star Kurt Warner. I have to agree with Goldberg The Goalie the Giants are
looking good but I have to go with the Packers mainly because it's at
their home. Raiders over the Texans. Raiders are looking real good
as well after a horrid 03, Rich Gannon is out (refer below) but former
Giants QB Kerry Collins is definitely capable of leading the much
improved Raiders. Should be another Rippa of a game as the Texans are
also looking much improved. Colts I gotta go against the expert
Morency here. Morency liked the Jaq's for the spread and also the win I
believe? Steelers just over the Bengals only because it is at
       home.
        Jets
over the Fish. MADNess your soft, heard you haven't been calling in
lately, just because Ricky Williams has gone walkabout to Australia and
the state of Florida is in a mess no need to start crying and not calling
your mate Morency. The SportsRagers love ya man! The Fish are gone, sad
state of affairs in Florida, I hope the people can recover from the
recent Tornado/storms disaster. Tits over Chargers, Hmmm Chargers
are imporved as well but I believe Tits QB Steve McNair will play. Broncos
of course over the Buc's who are 0-3. Rams over a horrid 49ers. Ravens
over the 0-3 Chiefs. Chiefs should be OK but are 0-3 and me Bronco's arch
rival. Could be a great game. Panthers over the Falcons again
another rippa. Pats Morency I can't believe you're going for the
Bills to cover the 6 spread! Saints.
        Keep
reading below for great reports from Moose and also the NFL Media over
the past week. MYKwebTV could be at the Cowboys vs Giants next week. Hope
you enjoy the massive NFL MYKwebTV. Links are above. I'm out this crazy

"NFL Rookies of the Month named!" Myk Aussie
        From
       the NFL Media.
        LIONS
WR ROY WILLIAMS & JETS S ERIK COLEMAN NAMED NFL ROOKIES OF MONTH FOR
       SEPTEMBER Wide
receiver ROY WILLIAMS of the Detroit Lions and safety ERIK COLEMAN of the
New York Jets are the NFL Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Month
for September, the NFL announced today.
OFFENSE: WR ROY WILLIAMS, DETROIT LIONS
A first-round selection from Texas (No. 7 overall), Williams has
paid immediate dividends for the Lions, helping the club to a 2-1 start
       – its best since 2000 – and a share of first place in the NFC North.
Williams leads all rookies with 17 receptions, 277 receiving yards and
four touchdowns.  His four touchdown catches tie him for second-most
in the NFL, trailing only perennial All-Stars RANDY MOSS and TERRELL
OWENS, each with five.  After beginning his career with a
four-catch, 69-yard effort in a Week 1 road win against Chicago, Williams
played a pivotal role in a 28-16 victory over Houston on Sept. 19,
hauling in touchdown catches of 31 and 14 yards.  Then last week
versus Philadelphia, Williams notched his first career 100-yard receiving
game, finishing with 135 yards on nine receptions, including touchdown
catches of 12 and 29 yards. Williams
is the first Lion to earn Rookie of the Month honors since CHARLIE BATCH
       in October of 1998.
DEFENSE: S ERIK COLEMAN, NEW YORK JETS
Starting at safety, New York’s Coleman (No. 143 overall) has
helped the Jets take-off to a 2-0 start by being involved in three of the
club’s six takeaways with an interception in each of his first two
games along with a Week 2 fumble recovery.  Thanks in part to
Coleman, the Jets lead the AFC with a plus-five turnover differential.
The fifth-round draft pick from Washington State is the first player in
team history to register three takeaways in the first two games of a
season.  Coleman also has posted seven tackles and a forced fumble
in addition to another pass defensed.  The 5-10, 200-pounder’s
first career interception sealed a seven-point Kickoff Weekend victory
over Cincinnati with 1:52 remaining in regulation.  His next one
ended the Chargers’ second possession in Week 2 and led to a New York
touchdown.   Coleman’s seeds of impact were sown in the
preseason when he earned praise from head coach HERMAN EDWARDS for having
a nose for the football, compiling 11 tackles, 1.0 sack and a forced
       fumble. Coleman
is the first Jets player to earn a Rookie of the Month Award since the
       honor’s inception in 1996. It
is so cool to be the only Aussie that has regularly reported on the NFL
for the past 5 years. Yep that's me, I have had NFL media passes at Super
Bowl's, Pro Bowl's and other NFL games. Thus I am allowed into the NFL
Media section and allowed to post their great reports on here. Much more
coming over the coming weeks." Myk Aussie
