From Alouettes media FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE
KWAME CAVIL EXTENDS THROUGH 2006 Slotback signs for a year plus an option
Montreal, Apr. 20, 2005 - Montreal Alouettes Vice-President and General Manager
Jim Popp is pleased to announce that slotback Kwame Cavil has signed a new
contract for one year plus an option through 2006.
"Kwame is a veteran receiver that we can count on to make a big play,"
said Jim Popp. "He's been developing as a key component of our offence and
has become a target of choice for quarterback Anthony Calvillo."
At 26, Cavil is kicking off his fourth campaign with the Alouettes. In 2004, he
was one of four Alouette receivers to break the 1,000-yards receiving mark, with
1,090 yards and seven touchdowns on 78 receptions. He also has significant
playoff experience, with 76 yards and a touchdown on seven catches in two games
since 2002. He started in the 2003 Grey Cup game in Regina.
Cavil's contract was set to expire at the close of the 2005 season. Under his
new terms, he will be with the Alouettes for 2005 and 2006.

"Blue Bombers
season ticket sales!"
From
Bombers Media, WINNIPEG,
MB – Momentum continues to build with less than two months to go before the
start of the 2005 season. The
Blue Bombers announced that 15,539 season tickets had been sold as of noon
today.
That
announcement comes on the heels of several recent key player signings, including
the signing of star running back Charles (Blink) Roberts to a multi-year
extension.
Fans are reminded that the
purchase of a season ticket entitles them to several extras, including up to 25
per cent off the price of individual ticket prices, 20 per cent off Bomber Store
merchandise and exclusive prize draws.
It
also guarantees them the same seat for the 2006 season and an opportunity to
purchase that seat for the 2006 Grey Cup. The
football club will be making several more announcements in the coming weeks
regarding its Free the Fan campaign and 75th anniversary
celebrations.

"Star Bombers Running Back Charles Roberts resigned! Lots of Blue Bombers News! Casey Printers still not signed to a contract
extension!"
From
Bombers Media. WBB
RELEASE – 2005/059 FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WINNIPEG,
MB – The Blue Bombers have retained a vital cog in their offensive attack with
the signing of running back and return specialist Charles Roberts to a
multi-year contract extension. G.M.
and vice-president of football operations Brendan Taman says having Roberts
signed, sealed and delivered ensures that the Blue Bombers will be a team to be
feared on the offensive side of the ball for some time to come.
“Locking
in a player of Charles’s ability for the long-term is a great benefit for the
ball club, for Charles and for the fans,” Taman said. “His
long-term commitment to us is a great gesture and we are excited to have him
with the team for years to come.” Roberts
appeared in all 18 regular-season games for the Blue Bombers in 2004. He
rushed for 1,522 yards on 300 carries for an average of
5.1 yards and eight rushing touchdowns.
He
also had 398 receiving yards on 53 receptions for five touchdowns and was the
Club’s Most Outstanding Player for 2004. Roberts also had three punt
returns for 28 yards along with four kickoff returns for 84 yards. Roberts
will be entering his 5th season with the Blue & Gold. He

Printers has still not signed a new contract with the BC Lions! BC
Lions Total-CFLwebTV as I am 1 on 1 with Casey Printers!
Even though I recorded
this Total-CFLwebTV last week, Casey Printers is staying in MYKwebWORLD
headlines. Why? Casey is a legend after 1 year as QB for the Lions but he has
not yet signed a new contract. Actually I believe The Lions don't need him to
sign a new contract as he is under contract for the 2005 season but at a close
to near minimum CFL pay rate. It is believed Casey earned in the range of
$50-60,000 in 2004 as he started as the #3 Lions QB.
The
Lions are somewhat keen to sign Casey to a new contract and pay him a lot more
money but Champ QB Dave Dickenson is earning in the range of $400,000 and
probably the highest paid player in the CFL and with a no trade clause in his
contract, apparently. What will Wally the BC Lions coach and manager do? We will
wait and see.
As I said on SportsRage last Wednesday I think Casey's agent may be
wanting a Dave Dickenson trade so there is no stupid QB controversy in 2005 like
there was in 2004. I think Sideline Reporter Total-CFLer may be correct in the
fact that Dave could still end up back in Calgary. I am very confident with
Casey or Dave at QB the Lions can go all the way and win the 2005 Grey Cup at
Pammy's BC Place.

Lions Total-CFLwebTV as I am 1 on 1 with Casey Printers! CFL’s
2004 Most Outstanding Player Lions Casey Printers held
a fantastic Casey's Kid's Camp
on Saturday!"
Total-CFL
mates hope you enjoy my BC Lions Total-CFLwebTV show as much as I did as I am 1
on 1 with Casey. It's true, not only is Casey the current best CFL player in the
world, he's also very fit, very popular with his team mates and now very
popular amongst the 50-75 or so kid's that attended "Casey Kid's Camp"
at the home of the Titans in South Surrey/White Rock BC.
After
having a great drive Saturday from downtown Pammy's BC Place to the Titans I
then got to chat and interview Lions Champ Casey Printers, chat with some of the
other Lions players and then watch the Lions Champs including Geroy Simon, Ryan
Thelwell, Mark Washington, Brent Johnson, Lyle Green and Javier Glatt put 50-75
future CFLers through their paces.
I'm
happy to say Casey Printers the Best Player in The CFL was also friendly to me
today. I tried not to even mention the Grey Cup after Casey "Crazily"
did not get the start but as you will hear Casey put the Grey Cup week
experience in front of the great Western Final win.
CFL
2005 is here, finally! BC and Calgary Fan Fest coming up soon I know that!
