Wed, June 22 05' Updated "BC Lions defeat the Stampeders! BC Lions & Spirit of Vancouver Luncheon!" Myk Aussie

It was a unreal night Thursday night at Pammy's BC Place. Pammy has a new patch! The new turf was great to see.

The Lions have definitely spent more $$$ then usual on the Felions. We now get Felions on all 4 corners instead of 2. Me Tiger Cat mate reckons they are way better than last year. In new mainly Orange outfits & wearing skirts in the 1st half amazingly they now have 2 sets of costumes as after 1/2 time they came out in tight little Orange shorts! I think Felions can definitely now challenge the Bombers girls as the best cheerleaders in the CFL!

But back onto the footy we doubled the Stamps score 32-16! Best Lions players announced at the end of the game were Dave Dickenson Offensive Player, Brett Johnson Defensive Player, Duncan O''Mahoney Special teams. Where was Casey Printers the Champ ?????? He was the holder!

Wow! Yep you better believe it is very occasional I have to be sensible and not wear me Aussie hat. It was a pleasure to have this photo taken with Lions QB Dave Dickenson 2nd from left, John Pillsbury from Destiny Media Technologies and WR Geroy Simon far right. It was funny as many of the players did not recognize me without my hat on, some did though.

BC Lions & Spirit of Vancouver Luncheon! I had a magnificent time Wednesday at the BC Lions Luncheon thanks to John Pillsbury of Destiny Media Technologies. John and I had a photo taken with Lions Champs Dave Dickenson and Geroy Simon as above. All of the players were in attendance and were seated 2 or 3 each on the various tables with the Vancouver business men and ladies. 

I got to have a great chat over lunch with Freddie Moore. Freddie told me how did a pre season with my favorite NFL team the Denver Bronco's before heading to the BC Lions. He also played NCAA footy for Florida A& M. Freddy enjoys Vancouver and the Lions immensely and at 27 years old says he may even have one more shot at the NFL. Freddy liked the CDN Beef but definitely wanted more than the 1 "smallish" plateful. I asked him if he liked the MAD Cow he just ate and he said "That don't worry me. I never stopped eating Beef when that happened." The Big fella had a couple of plates of salad but gave his desert away saying "Na I don't like that sweet cake stuff." 

I also got to have a great chat before lunch to one of our new stars Barron Miles from the Alouettes. Barron is looking forward to this year and will definitely be used to the new grass on Pammy's BC Place as it was recently sent here straight from Montreal. He says he is particularly looking forward to playing against his friend Anthony Calvillo this year. 

The Lionheart Awards for the players that did the most in the community over the past year went to Champ WR Geroy Simon and Lyle Green.  

Angus Reid and Kelly Bates did some comedy as they jokingly ripped into Casey Printers for not looking after them with some kind of "Offensive Lineman" type gift at the end of last season. They thus now want some of Casey's new contract at the end of this year as a gift for protecting the Champ Quarterback and CFL 2004 MVP.

I also got to have chats with Duncan O'Mahoney, Jason Clermont Moe Elewonibi, coach Wally Buono, Bob Ackles and the guys from The Team 1040 radio here in Vancouver. It was a great luncheon." Myk Aussie
