         Talking NFL on The Jim
Rome show on Easter Friday. Listen now!
         Wow!
This was big yesterday.
I believe Jim Rome has about 5
million listeners daily. He is the biggest sports radio guy in USA with his show
going to many USA markets. Many places in Canada also carry his daily 3 hour
sports radio show.

 I
just subscribed to his online pod cast to re listen and I was on for 3 minutes
without him interrupting at all. He bagged me a bit after the 3 minutes saying
"I didn't understand Myk, I heard about Brett Favre and Darren Bennett." but
then he said "No Myk I did understand you. That was Myk for 3, 5, 8 minutes
however long that was and yes we do see Myk down at Super Bowl's in the Media
Centre. That was Myk Aussie in Calgary". If you are a subscriber or wish to
subscribe to his great radio show I was on in the 3rd hour segment on Friday
March 21

If you can't listen here's what I said.

I talked about the time I tried to hunt down and interview Brett
Favre.
I also talked about the Denver Broncos and about the Aussie punters in
the NFL.

Talking NFL and AFL on The Jim Rome
show on Easter Friday!
If you can't listen here's what I said.

I mentioned Aussie Rules Football several times on The Jim Rome
Show including saying NFL is the equal best game in the World along with Aussie
Rules Football. I talked about how Darren Bennett changed the NFL the way NFL
punters now punt using the Aussie Rules Footy drop punt when they need to land
the ball inside the 20 yard line. I also talked about Aussies Mat McBriar, Ben
Graham and Sav Rocca currently punting in the NFL along with how the Pittsburg
Steelers punter Daniel Sepulveda who is from the USA
learnt and effectively uses the Aussie drop punt.

Bay Packers legend Quarterback Brett Favre has retired! I tried
to hunt down and interview Brett in the locker rooms after a loss to the Vikings in Minnesota
several years ago on a Monday night. This is a very interesting part of
"Football Fan Frenzy" the movie/documentary! This was obviously Huge sports
radio and TV talk this week as Brett is a absolute legend. After several years of
Brett contemplating retiring and then coming back many thought that he would go
again after leading the Packers to the NFC Championship game and himself having
a great year. This was not to be and today Brett announced his retirement via a
voice message to a ESPN sports reporter. Brett said that although physically he
could go again it was mentally very draining for him in preparing each week. I
would have a guess we will now enjoy listening to Brett from the commentary box
or on one of the major networks NFL panel. I hope so. What a pleasure it has
been to watch Brett play this great game.

After several of my mates in Vancouver were huge Packer fans and myself liking
them because they are Australia's Colors I tried to interview Brett in the
locker rooms after a loss to the Vikings in Minnesota several years ago on a
Monday night. Opinion has it this is a funny and quite interesting part of my
movie/documentary "Football Fan Frenzy" as I wear my Green and Gold
Woodville Warriors SANFL Aussie Footy jersey and Green and Gold Aussie hat to
the game, on the sidelines and then into the Packers locker rooms. I however
made a mistake and learnt the hard way. Don't go into a losing teams locker
rooms for interviews as some officials are not to keen on media people after a
loss. On this night one Packers official for no apparent reason got upset with
me. I had a official NFL media pass from the Vikings organization but.....
Hmmmmm.
 This
is the 1st time I have ever told the full story. For some Hardcore reasons here
goes! So
this is what happened. My media pass said Myk Harrison. As I was heading to the
Packers locker rooms after interviewing ABC's Leslie Visser on the sidelines I
walked past some ladies or should I just say women cops on the way to the Packers
locker rooms. I was a little confident and said "Hi ladies. Are you having
fun" or something similar. I purposely showed them my media pass to avoid
any possible trouble and all seemed cool. So then I'm in the Packers locker
rooms as mentioned in my Green and Gold outfit and a damn ball steward or dirty
footy gear official or similar came up to me for no apparent reason and wanted
me out. So I left the room and then put on a sweater over my Aussie footy
jersey and went back in. At this stage I had done nothing wrong. The same guy or
should I say "low type Big headed sore loser official" then recognized
me and again wanted me out. So I leave and this time Crazingly one of the women
cops wants to talk to me after this
"low type Big headed sore loser official"
complained to her about me simply standing in the locker rooms before I was
wanting to interview Brett. I tell the women
cop I've done nothing wrong which is 100% true. She looks at my media pass then
wants to see my ID. So I show her my Canadian and Australian Drivers licenses.
Well here is where I had some bad luck. Both my Drivers licenses say my real
name which is not Myk Harrison but Myk backwards thus Kym Andrew Harrison. The
women cop not lady then basically walks me out holding my arm in a firm manner
and says I'm lucky I'm not on the 1st boat home to Australia. Un farking
believable. What did I do wrong? Damn well nothing but I know one thing at this
stage I simply had to keep my mouth 100% shut accept the fact this woman cop was
a farking glory seeker that needed to earn her money on this night and she could
have caused me major trouble. Maybe some
Aussie had banged her in the past and then dumped her.
I then went and meet up with some great Vikings fans and ended
up at a Hotel room party till 4 am. I then went straight back to my hotel room to grab
my bags and straight to the airport for my return trip to Vancouver via Denver.
What a wild but great night. This above is a 100% true story. This is in the
movie/documentary "Football Fan Frenzy" and maybe this is why it
happened, to have a great true Brett Favre hunting story in my
movie/documentary. As I said recently to Scotty a mate
here in Calgary we will need to re enact some of this as it is not 100% clear in
the movie. You can see the women cops as I walk past them on the way to the
Packer rooms and the "low type Big headed sore loser official" walk
towards my camera.

Oh now I get it. I should not have worn my trade mark Green and Gold Aussie hat
and a Green and Gold Aussie Footy jersey. OK. So seems I did do something wrong.
Bullshit!

So there goes I never got to met and interview Brett. Then at the 3 NFL Pro Bowl
after this night that I had official NFL Media passes Brett withdrew from the
Pro Bowls. Let me know if any of you guys or gals want a copy of the
movie/documentary "Football Fan Frenzy".

NFL DEMONSTRATES COMMITMENT TO INTERNATIONAL GROWTH

 OWNERS APPROVE
LONG-TERM AGREEMENTS TO BRING LIMITED NUMBER OF REGULAR-SEASON GAMES TO
         U.K. & CANADA

         The NFL continues to
strengthen its commitment to spreading the appeal of America’s most
popular sport beyond the borders of the United States.

         After a successful
regular-season debut in the United Kingdom last October, NFL
Commissioner ROGER GOODELL announced today a multi-year
commitment to play a limited number of NFL regular-season games in the
         U.K. on an annual basis.

         Commissioner Goodell
has endorsed the recent recommendation of two ownership committees
(Business Ventures and International) to play at least one game in the
U.K. in each of the next three years.  The league previously announced
on January 17 that a regular-season game would be played in the U.K. in
2008.  Today, Commissioner Goodell confirmed that the New Orleans
Saints will host the San Diego Chargers at London’s Wembley Stadium on
October 26.  There also will be at least one regular-season game in the
U.K. in 2009 and 2010, Commissioner Goodell said.

         NFL ownership has also
approved a Buffalo Bills initiative to play one regular-season home
game in Toronto, Canada in each of the next five seasons.  More
information on the Bills’ plans to expand their fan base to the north
will be announced by the team next week.

         With these two
decisions, NFL owners are again demonstrating their commitment to
international growth through long-term decisions to play in specific
         markets.

         “Playing a limited
number of regular-season games internationally will help build and grow
an already passionate international fan base,” Commissioner Goodell
said.  “The games will strengthen our partnerships with broadcasters
and sponsors.  The ownership resolution to play regular-season games
internationally has evolved to focus on markets, including the U.K. and
Canada, where playing games on a regular basis significantly adds to
the broad appeal of our sport.”

         The Chargers and Saints
are teams with recent playoff success and they are eager to play in
front of the enthusiastic fans in the U.K.

         “This is a unique and
exciting opportunity for our team and we are very proud to represent
our region and our great fans when we travel to the United Kingdom in
late October,” said New Orleans Saints owner TOM BENSON.  “The
national and international exposure that our team, our city and our
state will receive will be unprecedented.  The league has been playing
overseas since the 1980s and last year was the first regular-season
game in Europe, featuring the Giants and Dolphins.  The Giants used
that game as a springboard to their Super Bowl run and I hope we are as
         successful.”

         In 2006, NFL owners
approved a five-year plan to play a limited number of regular-season
games outside the United States.  The series kicked off in London on
October 28, 2007 when the New York Giants defeated the Miami Dolphins
13-10 before a sellout crowd of 81,176 at Wembley Stadium.

         “We’re proud to be
chosen,” said Chargers president DEAN SPANOS.  “This is another
positive step in the effort to globalize our great sport.  It’s an
opportunity for the NFL to show off two of its marquee teams and some
of its best players.  In particular, it’s going to be good exposure for
the Chargers, our players and our city and another opportunity for our
team to grow together.  We’re looking forward to it.” From NFL Media.

                 4,000-YARD RECORD TO FALL?:
In 1967, the New York Jets’ JOE NAMATH (4,007) became the
first quarterback to throw for 4,000 yards in a season.  In
1999, 2004 and 2006, five passers reached the 4,000-yard mark,
                 the most in any season.

That mark can fall in 2007.
Halfway through the season, 10 quarterbacks are on pace for
                 4,000 yards.

Since starting the season at 0-4, the NEW ORLEANS SAINTS have
won four consecutive games, becoming the fourth team in history
to accomplish such a turnaround.  With a victory this week
against St. Louis, the Saints can become the first club to win
five consecutive games after starting a season 0-4.

                 ROOKIE RB DUOS:
Through the midpoint of the season, rookie running backs
ADRIAN PETERSON of Minnesota and MARSHAWN LYNCH of Buffalo are
on pace to each exceed 1,000 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.

                 Peterson leads the NFL with
eight touchdowns and 1,036 rushing yards and is on target to
surpass ERIC DICKERSON’s NFL rookie rushing record of 1,808
yards and become the first rookie to rush for 2,000 yards in a
season.  Lynch stands fourth in the league with 690 yards and
has five touchdowns.  If both players reach the
1,000-yard/10-touchdown level, they will become the fourth NFL
rookie running back duo to accomplish the feat in the same
                 season.

Halfway through the season, there are six tight ends with five
or more touchdowns receptions – Indianapolis’ DALLAS CLARK (6),
                 Washington’s CHRIS COOLEY (5), San Diego’s ANTONIO GATES (5),
Pittsburgh’s HEATH MILLER (5), New England’s BENJAMIN WATSON
                 (5) and Dallas’ JASON WITTEN (5).  If at least four of these
players equal their first-half touchdown total, 2007 will
become the first season in which four tight ends posted at
                 least 10 touchdown catches.

         October 7-8 Designated
         NFL Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend

         Across NFL Stadiums
 The National Football
League will support October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
with national public service announcements, special pregame ceremonies
and team community outreach. The NFL has designated the weekend of
October 7-8 as NFL Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend.

         The league will
promote breast cancer awareness messages during that weekend  with a
number of pregame and in-stadium initiatives:

         ·     Team
         Captains Presentation:
Each home team will name honorary team captains from the community, who
have been touched by breast cancer or are involved in fighting the
disease.  Honorary captains will be invited onto the field for the
pregame coin toss, where captains from each club will deliver
         a bouquet
         of pink roses to
         them.

         ·     “Pins
         That Touch Hearts”:
         Team coaches,
management and game staff personnel will wear pink ribbon/NFL shield
pins during the October 7-8 games.

         ·    Pink
         Gatorade Towels:
Players will use special-edition pink Gatorade towels on the sidelines
during the games.  Players will autograph these towels and other pink
merchandise, which will be put up for bid on NFL Auction (nflauction.nfl.com),
with proceeds going to breast cancer charities.

         ·     Stadium
         Give-Aways:
Together with Lifetime Television, teams will give away pink ribbon
“temporary tattoos” to fans attending games on October 7-8. These pink
ribbon tattoos will also be distributed with all purchases made via
NFLShop.com during the month of October.

         ·     Local
         Team Events:
Many teams will extend the national platform with local grassroots
efforts.  Teams will designate home games in honor of Breast Cancer
Awareness Month and plan special in-stadium or pregame events with
         local organizations.
As part of the NFL’s partnership with Lifetime
Television in its “Stop Breast Cancer for Life” campaign, Tampa Bay
Buccaneers cornerback RONDE BARBER and Carolina Panthers
quarterback JAKE DELHOMME  filmed  public service announcements
to air on the network throughout October, reaching more than 93 million
families across the country.   Barber and Delhomme, the only athletes
featured in this year’s campaign, are two among many NFL players and
coaches who have been actively involved in supporting this cause.
Barber  filmed  the PSA to honor his mom Geraldine, a breast cancer
survivor, while Delhomme’s PSA focuses on  his family members who had
breast cancer.   In addition, a special PSA starring actress, breast
cancer survivor and NFL fan FRAN DRESCHER, will be played on
in-stadium video boards throughout October.  Drescher’s PSA focuses on
early breast cancer detection and on ways to be supportive of those who
         are battling the disease.
         NFL Breast Cancer
Awareness Weekend will be highlighted with features on NFL.com and on
         the NFL Network.

News from NFL Media. Sixty years ago
next Friday (on September 29, 1946), the NFL champion and newly
transplanted (from Cleveland) Los Angeles Rams played their first
regular-season game in their new home town. The 10-team NFL, with teams
         only as far
         “west”
as Chicago and Green Bay up to that point, was now truly national.

         Rams owner DANIEL
REEVES had received approval from the NFL on January 11 of that year to
move the club west. By the time the Rams took the field on September
29, they had made history by their move and who they signed.

On March 9 and March 21
of that year, the club signed halfback KENNY WASHINGTON and end WOODY
STRODE, respectively. Both players were from UCLA. The signings marked
the reintegration of the NFL . a year before the Brooklyn Dodgers
signed JACKIE ROBINSON (a roommate of Washington’s at UCLA). (Later
that year, head coach PAUL BROWN of the Cleveland Browns of the
All-America Football Conference continued the reintegration of pro
football by signing fullback MARION MOTLEY and guard BILL WILLIS.)

Washington and Strode joined the team as it trained at Compton College
         in Los Angeles.

         On September 29 in its
inaugural Los Angeles game, the Rams were defeated by the
“hard-driving” (as the Associated  Press described them)
         Philadelphia Eagles, 25-14.

         Many of the phrases and
descriptions used by A.P. in recounting the game seem quaint by today’s
standards: “A hard-driving Philadelphia Eagles team pounded and kicked
a 25-14 victory over the champion Los Angeles Rams in the first
National Football League game played in the West.”. “Some 30,500 fans
braved a sweltering and occasionally sprinkling day.”  “The first
of Roy Zimmerman’s boots stung the Rams into action. With Bob
Waterfield passing and directing the strategy, they marched 75 yards
with Pat West banging over from the one.”
“A 72-yard breakaway smash over center by West set up the Rams’ other
         touchdown.”
 “Los
Angeles lost something in the second half, however, after Waterfield…was
badly shaken in a hard tackle.

         After his departure,
the Rams’ offense fizzled and the Eagles began clicking.” . “Southpaw
passes by the Eagles’ Al Sherman [Ed. note: future New York Giants head
coach] pulled the game out of the fire.”

         The Rams would finish
their first season in Los Angeles in second place in the NFL’s Western
Division with a 6-4-1 record. They would stay in the city through 1994,
compiling a 364-299-18 (.549) record. In that time, they would win an
NFL championship (1951), five conference championships, 10 division
titles and have 13 players/coaches selected for the Pro Football Hall
of Fame (GEORGE ALLEN, ERIC DICKERSON, TOM FEARS, ELROY “CRAZYLEGS”
HIRSCH, DAVID “DEACON” JONES, TOM MACK, OLLIE MATSON, MERLIN OLSEN,
DANIEL REEVES, JACKIE SLATER, NORM VAN BROCKLIN, BOB WATERFIELD and
         JACK YOUNGBLOOD).

         The Oakland Raiders
also would play in Los Angeles from 1982-94.

The NFL plans to return to Los Angeles. “I think we will
have a team back in Los Angeles,” says NFL Commissioner

         ROGER GOODELL. “We’d
like to do it as soon as possible, but it’s more important that we do
it successfully. The most important thing is not a timetable. It’s more
         about doing it correctly.”

JETS QB CHAD PENNINGTON, RAVENS LB RAY LEWIS  & COLTS K ADAM
VINATIERI NAMED AFC PLAYERS OF WEEK 1

Quarterback CHAD PENNINGTON of the New York Jets, linebacker RAY LEWIS
of the Baltimore Ravens and  kicker ADAM VINATIERI of the
Indianapolis Colts are the AFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams
Players of the Week for games played on NFL Kickoff 2006 Weekend
(September 7, 10-11), the NFL announced today.

OFFENSE: QB CHAD PENNINGTON, NEW YORK JETS

With precision-like accuracy, the Jets’ Pennington led all NFL
quarterbacks on Kickoff Weekend with 319  passing yards in a 23-16
win at Tennessee. The seven-year veteran from Marshall completed 24 of
33 attempts (72.7 percent) with two touchdowns without an interception
for a sterling 123.2 passer rating. Returning from shoulder surgery
after missing 13 games last season, the Knoxville, Tenn. native was
sharp before a throng of family and friends in the stands. With the
score tied at 16-16 with 5:51 remaining in regulation, Pennington led
the Jets on a 57-yard touchdown drive, capped by a 12-yard dart in the
end zone to tight end CHRIS BAKER for the game’s final points.
This is Pennington’s fourth career Player of the Week honor.

DEFENSE: LB RAY LEWIS, BALTIMORE RAVENS

The seven-time NFL All-Star and two-time NFL Defensive Player of the
Year led a Ravens defense that made a statement in Week 1, shutting out
the defending NFC South champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James
Stadium 27-0. Making plays from sideline-to-sideline, Lewis’ presence
was felt with a team-high 10 tackles, including a sack and a pair of
passes defensed. The 6-1, 250-pounder was the heart of a Baltimore
defense that permitted only 26 rushing yards on 13 carries (2.0-yard
average) and just 2.8 yards per play overall along with forcing three
         interceptions.
For Lewis, in his 11th NFL season from Miami, this is his sixth Player
of the Week award. Lewis is the
second Raven in the past six regular season weeks to earn the honor as
         teammate TERRELL SUGGS
earned the distinction in Week 13 last season.

SPECIAL TEAMS: K ADAM VINATIERI, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Signed in the off-season as a highly-valued free agent, Vinatieri
brought the Colts immediate dividends Sunday night in a 26-21 road
victory against the New York Giants. Playing his first game in an
Indianapolis uniform, Vinatieri was a perfect four-for-four in field
goal attempts from 26, 32, 48, and 32 yards. The former NFL Europe
League standout’s fourth field goal with 1:12 remaining in regulation
significantly boosted the Colts’ lead from two points to five for the
team’s margin of victory. This marks the ninth-career Player of the
Week honor for the 11-year veteran from South Dakota State.

         Onterrio Smith fails to make
the CFL Winnipeg Blue Bombers! This is great news because he is a
Whizzinator Jerk! We are now into CFL Rd 3" Myk
         Aussie
 From a May 11, 05 report I found today
"Vikings running back Onterrio Smith was detained last month at
Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport after police found a kit used to
         circumvent drug tests.

Smith was neither arrested nor charged, but as of Tuesday it was
unclear whether the incident will affect his status in the NFL's
         confidential substance-abuse program.

Smith acknowledged to airport police that he was carrying dried urine,
along with a device called "The Original Whizzinator" and a bottle of
pills labeled "Cleansing Formula." He told police the kit was "for
making a clean urine test," according to the police report, and said he
was taking the materials to his cousin.

Yeh sure for your cousin hey! Mates I had heard about this but until I
decided to search on Google term "Whizzinator" I didn't really know
what the Whizzinator was. I heard it was some kind of machine to beat a
drug test but it's a "fake pecker".

This is nuts, ridiculous, a disgrace to mankind that these are even
made. I am so glad Smith did not make the CFL Winnipeg Blue Bombers
team. Apparently he arrived at training camp in not that good a shape.
Now here's the link to the makers site of the Whizzinator for any one
of you that wants a huge laugh. Check out the "Products" link it's
         hilarious but a disgrace

 Ricky's 1st
official game in the CFL was on Saturday in Toronto at the Skydome
where the MLB Blue Jays also play. Ricky had a slow start to the game
but his last quarter was very good. He ended up with 18 carries for 97
yards his longest being a 35 yard run in the last quarter. He also
caught 2 passes for 24 yards which included a 18 yard run. I am very
happy that Ricky had a great end to his 1st game after he struggled to
break clear in the 1st half. He looked very happy in the last quarter
and after the game as he chatted to his teammates on the sidelines." Myk

riding a motorcycle. Now that's a crazy stupid law right there! I saw a
TV interview where Ban said he gets a better free type feeling riding
without a helmet. Damn him, I am not a Steelers fan but I am a Ben
Roethlisberger fan. He has done a amazing job at Quarter Back for the
Steelers since coming into the league. I hope that we does recover and
that we see him play this year.

This is especially to young guys and girls out there reading this!
Before I started in Media 9 years ago I was a Mechanical Design
Engineer and one of the places I worked was Rollerchair in South
Australia. This was a excellent design job as I was helping design the
best electric wheelchairs in Australia for people with handicaps and
injuries. Some of the orders that came to me simply amazed me. I
remember I had to design a electric wheelchair for a boy that was tiny.
He had no arms and very tiny legs and he would have to crawl onto the
foot part of the wheelchair and then via pneumatic cylinders he would
be raised up to the seat where he would then climb onto and sit. This
amazed me , I felt glad that I could design a wheelchair that would
help him and I especially felt very lucky to have a healthy normal
         body.

My point here is "most" of the electric wheelchairs that we designed
and made at Rollerchair were for motorcycle victims!

         Roethlisberger’s Motorcycle Accident
“On behalf of everyone within the Steelers organization, I want to
express my concern for Ben Roethlisberger. I am sure Ben knows that we
are praying for his complete recovery. So far, we have been encouraged
by the early reports from the medical team at Mercy Hospital.

we receive them from the hospital.” Art Rooney, Steelers President" Myk

Lots of great NFL Draft information direct from NFL Media today.
Champ Running Back Reggie Bush surprisingly does not go #1 but goes #2
to the Saints! Texans pick Defensive End Mario Williams #1 overall!
Star Quarter Back Vince Young goes #3 to the Titans while Quarter Back
Matt Leinart the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner goes at #10 to the
Cardinals! Lots of info from NFL Media on Mario Williams below. Bronco's
select Jay Cutler! It seems Broncos coach Mike Shanahan wants a
good young backup to develop behind Jake Plummer at Quarter Back and
thus traded up to the 11 spot to select Jay Cutler from Vanderbilt.
Former legend San Fran 49ers Quarter Back Steve Young rated Jay as the
best Quarter Back in the draft ahead of Vince Young and Matt Leinart.
Very interesting. Good luck to Jay at my favorite NFL team the Denver
         Bronco's.

NCAA - NFL Draft Report: Who did the
Best?" Moose Salzer, MYKwebTV Correspondent1) Houston - Rating: B-.
Top Player chosen to watch: North Carolina St.DE, Mario Williams
 2) New Orlean - A-. Reggie Bush, RB-WR-K/PR. Watch this guy!
1,500-1,800 yards might not be out of the question for Sean Payton's
           team !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 3) Tennessee - B-. Don't blame Texas QB Vince Young (who may end up
being either a WR or TE! Floyd Reese, G.M. has lost his mind if he
           releases Steve McNair!
4th & 29th Picks): New York Jets. A: Kellen Clements, QB, Oregon.
 5) Green Bay: A+! Bravo! The Winner of the 2006 NFL Draft. Top Pick:
A.J. Hawk, LB, THE Ohio State, indeed! The most underrated player in
the draft. Another Ray Lewis/Brian Urlacher style LB who will be
           their best LB ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6th & 22nd Picks: San Francisco: Brandon Williams (no relation to
Houston's top pick). A very productive draft for the rebounding
           48er's. Rating: A-.
 7) Oakland - B: Michael Huff, DB, Texas.
 8th & 26th Picks):Gabe Morency's Buffalo Bills: John McCargo, DT,
N.C. St. Played along Houston's top Pick, Mario Williams. Will star
for years. Best DLm since Kurt Warner's college roomie, DE-LB Bryce
           Paup or Norfolk's Bruce Smith.
 9) Detroit - B-. Brian Calhoun, RB, Wisconsin

 10) Arizona - A-. Matt Leinart. Will back up Kurt Warner, but is
already better than hometown boys, Dave Navarre and Jake (The Flake)
           Carpenter, er, ah, the Plumber.
 11) Denver - C-. Dave Cutler, QB, Vandebilt. Tested well...but gives
the Broncos now THREE SECOND STRING QBs. Has Mike Shanahan lost his
           marbles!?
 12) Baltimore - C-- Has Brian Billick LOST HIS MARBLES?! The Ravens
           need a

QB AND THE CARDINALS WOULD HAVE ALLOWED THEM TO TRADE UP! Why the
(bleep) didn't they go after Young or Leinart?! Top player to watch,
by default, DT, Oregon, Haloti Ngata (sushi anyone?!)
 13) Cleveland - B+. Kamerlon Wimbley, DE, Florida St.
 14) Philadelphia - B. Chris Gokong, LB, California Polytechnic @ San
Louis Obyspo (John Madden and radio talk guy Tom Valentine's
           old school)
 15) Saint Louis - B+. Joe Klopfenstein, TE, Colorado.
 16) Miami - A-. Derek Hagan, WR, Arizona St.
 17) Minnesota - A-. Travis Jackson, QB, Alabama St.
 18) Dallas - B+. Jason Hatcher, DE, Grambling St.
 19) San Diego - B+. Charlie Whitehurst, son of ex-Green Bay / Kansas
City QB, David Whitehurst. If Doug Flutie DOESN'T come back as
reserve QB, then you can do worse than somebody who's dad played 7

           yrs.in the NFL from
           1977-83.

20)Kansas City - B: Brodie Croyle. Impressed at Indy Combines.
Schooled under Mike Shula at Alabama. A smart pick, in case something
happens to ex-CFL'r's Trent Green and Casey Printers. Since they
screwed up with their choice of 'new' Coach, anything from here out
           helps!
 21) New England - A-. Dave Thomas, WENDY's, er, ah, TE, Texas. Fourth
NCAA Champ team player picked. Could be the most underrated. Keep an
           eye on him!
 23) Tampa Bay - D. Worst and least productive draft out there. I
guess Jay Gruden couldn't help his brother Jonny, with his Orlando
Predators this close to Ar.FL playoffs. Jeremy Trueblood, OT, Boston
           College (Doug Flutie's old school).
 24) Cincinnati - C++. Jonathan Joseph, DB, South Carolina.
 25) Defending Champ Pittsburgh (still hate to say that!) C++. Anthony
           Smith, Syracuse.
 27) My beloved Carolina Panthers, A-. James Anderson, LB, Virginia
           Tech.
 28) Jacksonville - B. Maurice Drew, RB, UCLA.
 30) Indianapolis - C. Freddie Kelaho, LB, San Diego. Hard working
           kanaka LB.
 31) Seattle - A--. Darryl Tapp, DE, Virginia Tech.
 32) Last Pick in First Round [top picks in second for those without
First picks, below**:] New York Giants - Gerris Wilkinson, OLm.
Should have drafted a QB - Eli, yuck! ** Chicago - Dusty Dvorak, DT,
Oklahoma St. Another 'Grabowski' that will fit in well for Lovel
           Smith's 'D'. ** Atlanta - Jerious Norwood, RB, Miss. St.**Washington
           - Kili Lefotu, OLm, Arizona. Foget the other guys, he'll start right
away. Joe 'Boss Hogg' Bugel will love this Kanaka (with a capital
           'K'!)................Keep an eye on!" Moose

         2006 NFL DRAFT DAY NOTES

STEELERS & SEAHAWKS PROVE VALUE OF ALL SEVEN ROUNDS

THE FIRST ROUND of today’s NFL Draft will get most of the attention, but
the teams in Super Bowl XL prove the value of all seven rounds over the
two days of drafting. Of the 44 starters for the Pittsburgh Steelers
and Seattle Seahawks on offense and defense in SB XL, more than half
         (25) were third-round or below selections or college free agents. The
MVP of the game, Steelers WR HINES WARD,
was a third-round choice (No. 92 overall in 1998). “Not that you can’t
acquire players in free agency and do other things,” says winning
         Steelers head coach BILL COWHER,
“but the foundation of your club is the draft.”

MARIO WILLIAMS NOTES -- THE SELECTION TODAY of North Carolina State defensive end MARIO WILLIAMS with the No. 1 overall choice by the Houston Texans
breaks a streak of five consecutive quarterbacks taken with the top
selection in the draft, and a string of seven QBs taken No. 1 in the
past eight drafts. The lone exception in that span was a defensive end
         – COURTNEY BROWN by Cleveland in 2000.

TODAY MARKS the first time North Carolina State has had a player
selected No. 1 overall in an NFL Draft. In 1962, NC State quarterback ROMAN GABRIEL was taken No. 1 in the AFL Draft by Oakland. He was
picked second overall by the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL Draft that
         year.

WILLIAMS BECOMES the seventh defensive end in history to be selected No.
1 in the draft. Three DEs in a row were taken No. 1 from 1972-74, and
four in five years from 1972-76. The all-time NFL DE breakdown:

NO. 1 DEs YEAR DEFENSIVE END COLLEGE NFL CLUB1972 Walt Patulski Notre Dame Buffalo
 1973 John Matuszak Tampa Houston
1974 Ed “Too Tall” Jones Tennessee State Dallas
1976 Lee Roy Selmon Oklahoma Tampa Bay
1985 Bruce Smith Virginia Tech Buffalo
2000 Courtney Brown Penn State Cleveland

2006 Mario Williams North Carolina State Houston

WITH THE SELECTION OF WILLIAMS, the Texans continue their trend of choosing defensive
players with their first-round picks. The club has gone for defense
with their last four first-round selections:

YEAR PLAYER POSITION COLLEGE OVERALL2004 Dunta Robinson CB South Carolina 10
Jason Babin LB Western Michigan 27
2005 Travis Johnson DE Florida State 16

2006 Mario Williams DE NC State 1

WILLIAMS HAS a unique perspective on his position. It’s a
do-it-yourself job, he says. “The running backs, you’ll have two or
three come out every year that are phenomenal players,” he told the

         New York Times

this week. “They need their offensive line, they need
somebody who can block. Pass rushing, I do that myself.”

TODAY WAS A STELLAR FIRST-ROUND DAY for NC State. For the first time in its history, the
school had more than one player chosen in the first round. It had, in
fact, three players taken in the round – all from the defensive line:

PLAYER POSITION OVERALL NFL TEAMMario Williams DE 1 Houston
Manny Lawson DE 22 San Francisco
 John McCargo DT 26 Buffalo

THE SELECTION of MARIO WILLIAMS with the first pick in the draft upped the all-time
total of defensive linemen chosen first to 13, third most for a
position in history. The breakdown of No. 1 overall selections by
         position:

"Moose your loosing it. I deleted your rubbish about CFL
and Arena not wanting Owens. They couldn't afford him" Myk

"Myk, I'm losing it? 30 teams in the
NFL told him to jump in the lake! That left only Dallas and the (now)
damn fools in Denver (Jake Plummer, indeed!)..If he didn't get picked
up in the NFL after what he did last year to destroy Philly, HE WOULD
HAVE TO PLAY in Ar.FL or CFL.
It's got nothing to do with affording him! If you have to play
somewhere, YOU HAVE TO PLAY WHERE YOU can. How in the world can you
say he's the best WR in Football!? Do the names Steve Smith (13TDs
with Carolina), Rod Smith and Ashley Lelie (your boys from Denver,
since Big Ed's retirement, two yrs ago), Chad Johnson or Cincinnati,
Chris Chambers of Miami, Mushin Muhammad of Chicago, the three stud
WR's in Arizona, and two from Seattle NOT MEAN anything to you?! You
gotta be nuts to say Owens is the best WR in Football. Milt Stegall
is better and Damien Harrell of the Ar.FL are better too! Look their
           stats up!

I could care less what League they
play in. What about Mr. nine straight Pro Bowls, Marvin Harrison in
Indy?! I would take ANY of the above mentioned guys over Terrell ANY
DAY of the year. You gotta follow Footie more closely! All the guys
above, in their respective Leagues (hell, I'd take NFL E brit Scott
McCready over Owens!) have had better
stats in the last year than Owens did
two years ago. Wake Up, please." Moose
"Moose I'm still saying he is the Best after Randy Moss had a average

Here's a great pic Cwoa Merideth
my camera Cwoa took of Jeff Garcia right on the sidelines of Pro Bowl. Jeff is giving Merideth
         the Hawaii Aloha hand sign.
         Terrell Owens a
Cowboy! It has happened Terrell Owens has signed with the Dallas
Cowboys a 3 year contract that includes a $5 million signing bonus. To
me Dallas seemed like the last place TO was going to go to. Why?
Remember when Terrell was a 49er and the famous run he did after
scoring a touchdown to the middle of the field to slam the ball down
onto the Dallas Star! Cowboys players then swarmed on him in anger and
rightly so. I thought it was very funny.
Then there is legend Cowboys Coach Bill Parcells. The Tuna they call
him who has been quite successful the past couple of years with the
Cowboys. To me it seemed like Bill would not want Terrell at the team
he is coaching. I bet nearly every NFL fan will be watching keenly to
see how long it takes for Terrell to screw up. I think he will go maybe
nearly a year, can't see him lasting the 3 years though. But hey I wish
         he signed with the Broncos.

         Jeff Garcia a Eagle!
So as Terrell Owens leaves the Eagles his former mate Jeff Garcia
joined them to backup Donovan McNabb. Garcia and Owens were a great
combination at the 49ers several years ago and then the much publicized
Terrell Owens bagging of Jeff since. I firmly believe Jeff Garcia
should have stayed at the 49ers played for less money as his career has
nose dived badly since. He has had unsuccessful times at the Cleveland
Brown "Shitta me Pants" and then at the Detroit Lions.
Terrell's former mate Jeff Garcia! I met both Terrell Owens and
Jeff Garcia who were out and about at the Pro Bowl. Mike Morreale the
CFL Hamilton Tiger Cat player was with both of them and Mike introduced
me to both Terrell and Jeff at the great Beach Bar in Honolulu that
some of the players hang out at during Pro Bowl week. So they used to
         be mates of some sort.

Free Agents Update: Cleveland and Washington in the lead! Washington has gone hog wild in
getting Quantity, but will 'Coach' Dan Snyder's REAL Fantasy Football
be enough to get ancient Joe Gibbs that second REAL Super Bowl ring

Dallas release of trouble-making "Gimme-the-dam-Ball Keyshawn Johnson
and replacing him with unwanted by 31 other NFL WR Terrell (Yessuh
master Jones) Owens is like changing a tire when one needs an
overhaul. If 'Big Tuna' and Jonesee were paying any attention,
there's a pretty damn good WR named Damien Harrell tearing up the

From Moose "Paul Tagliabue – A Tribute!"
Paul Tagliabue has been a real blessing to the NFL for 16+ years and
is stepping down at age 63. Paul started out as a NFL Lawyer that had
to bail the NFL out in his predecessor, Corporate Facsist ‘Pete’
Rozelle’s stupid little war with the upstart USFL, circa 1986. The
NFL lost all the battles, but won the war and the USFL more or less
morphed into the Ar.FL (Jim Foster, Jr. in both Leagues). Mr.
Tagliabue has presided over the NFL growing in size from 28 teams to
now (including the 6 NFL ‘AAA’ Europe ones)  38. He signed a
deal to merge with the Arena Football League, which has 44, if you
include the Af2 ‘AAA’. but was undercut by two unscrupulous owners in
           Pittsburgh and Houston.

Former Houston Oilers Owner K.S ‘Bud’ Adams moved his team to
Tennessee and it became the Titans recycling the old New York (now)
Jets original nickname. It hasn’t been all roses for the Commish as
he recently settled some particularly thorny player compensation /
union issues in New York where he went to Law School. Mr. Tagliabue
is from New Jersey, and while ‘Pete’ (not his real name) Rozelle will
go down as the worst Commissioner in

           NFL
history, Tagliabue is the best! Some potential replacements include:
Rich McKay, son of ex-Buccaneers Coach John McKay, who also Coached
USC for many years and is currently Atlanta G.M.,
Roger Goodell, current League Chief Operating Officer and Jeff Pash,
           current Executive Vice Pres.

           Mr. Tagliabue also
did a good job with the NFL Europe Division, stabilizing the
situation and before he left he made sure the League got Re-upped
until 2011, when the current union-player contract expires. when
Tagliabue first became Commissioner, the League was full of Dynasties
and 13 teams hadn’t made the playoffs. Now only six haven’t made the
playoffs. Aside from the horrid past Super Bowl XL and the continued
Officiating problems, Mr. Tagliabue leaves the League in better shape
           than his weird predecessor!" Moose

         The Bronco's could be
in the running for signing Terrell Owens. Wow! That would be
awesome! They have cleared some cap room recently by waiving three
great players defensive end Pro Bowler Trevor Pryce, running back Mike
Anderson and tight end Jeb Putzier
         for hopefully Terrell Owens.

From NFL Media. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NFL-9 3/11/06 FREE AGENCY
SIGNING PERIOD BEGINS; 470 PLAYERS BECOME FREE AGENTS
The National Football League today announced that 470 players are free
agents who now can negotiate with all 32 clubs. The free agents include
three players who this year were designated by their clubs as
"franchise" players, and one who  was named a “transition” player.
Franchise and transition players are special categories for restricted
and unrestricted free agents. The deadline for making these
designations for 2006 was February 23.

 2006 FRANCHISE & TRANSITION DESIGNATIONS

 Franchise Players Transition Players
DE John Abraham, NY Jets G Steve Hutchinson, Seattle
 T Jeff Backus, Detroit
 CB Nate Clements, Buffalo

In 2005, 11 players were designated as franchise players and one as a
         transition player.

There are two types of franchise players. Clubs retain exclusive
negotiating rights to an “exclusive” franchise player by committing to
a minimum offer of the average of the top five salaries at the player's
position as of the end of the restricted free agent signing period on
April 21, or a 20 percent increase over his 2005 salary, or the average
of the top five salaries at his position as of the end of last season
-- whichever of the three is greater. Other clubs cannot negotiate with
exclusive franchise players. No exclusive franchise players were named
         this year.

The second type of franchise player is offered a minimum of the average
of the top five salaries at his position in the 2005 season, or a 20
percent salary increase, whichever is greater. This type of franchise
player may negotiate with other clubs. His original club may match the
offer and retain the player, or receive two first-round draft choices
as compensation if the original club elects not to match.

Each club is permitted one franchise designation in any year of the
Collective Bargaining Agreement. If a franchise player signs a
multiyear contract with his current club between February 23 and July
15, the club retains its franchise player designation for the following
league year. After July 15, any contract signed by a franchise player
can only be for one year.

Also, a club may designate a transition player in lieu of a franchise
player in any year when the franchise designation is available. A
transition player designation gives the club a first-refusal right to
match an offer sheet given to the player by another club. To designate
a transition player, the club must offer a minimum of the average of
the top 10 salaries of 2005 at the player's position, or a 20 percent
         salary increase, whichever is greater.

In the event a player retires, suffers a career-ending injury or is
otherwise unavailable due to non-football circumstances, a club has the
right to designate another franchise or transition player.

A club may withdraw a franchise or transition designation at any time.
The player becomes an unrestricted free agent when that withdrawal
occurs, and the team can use one of the designations on another player
         at the appropriate time.

Unrestricted veteran free agents are players who have completed four or
more accrued seasons of service and whose contracts have expired. They
are free to sign with any club through July 22 (or the first scheduled
day of the first NFL training camp, whichever is later). On July 23,
their exclusive rights will revert to their original club if that club
made a June 1 tender to these players. Teams will have until the
Tuesday after the 10th week of the season (November 14) to sign their
unrestricted veteran free agents to whom a tender was made on June 1.
If the player does not sign by
November 14, he must continue to sit out the remainder of the season.
If a June 1 tender is not made to an unrestricted free agent, he
continues to be free to sign with any club.

Restricted free agents are players who have completed three accrued
seasons of service and whose contracts have expired. They have received
qualifying offers from their old clubs and are free to negotiate with
any club until April 21, at which time their rights revert to their
original club. If a player accepts an offer from a new club, the old
club will have the right to match the offer and retain the player. If
the old club elects not to match the offer, it may receive draft-choice
compensation depending on the level of the qualifying offer made to the
         player.

The signing period for unrestricted free agents began today (March 11)
and concludes on July 22 (or the first scheduled day of the first NFL
training camp, whichever is later). The signing period for restricted
free agents also began today but concludes on April 21.

           From Moose "Curt Gowdy, Announcer
passed away two days ago at the age of 86. He was an outstanding
announcer who called some of the biggest games in NFL-AFL / NCAA and
US Olympic history. Gowdy, from the same town in the state of Wyoming
that Edmonton Canadian QBing great Tom Wilkinson, who split the QB
job with Warren Moon for four years, came from. Gowdy, who has a
state park in Wyoming named after him, along with former Bulls and
Lakers Ast. Coach Tex Winter, was very good NCAA basketball player in
the 1940's. His Wyoming Cowboys won the Men's NCAA crown in 1942 with
the point guard Gowdy winning M.V.P. honors. Since there was no Pro
Basketball (the NBA started in 1946), Gowdy switched over to
Announcing, first with the NCAA Football then the Yankees and Red Sox
           in MLB.

Some of Gowdy, who retired in 1985
from NBC's biggest game on that network were: the fourth Super Bowl,
which flopped in 1967, with 30,000+ empty seats in the L.A. Coliseum,
the infamous 'Heidi Bowl', when NBA switched to that Walt Disney Co.
story about the Joanna Spari novel about the sweet little red-haired
freckled girl in the Alps, who lived with here grandfather, as the
Oakland Raiders were in a pitched battle to make their second
consecutive Super Bowl, leading the Jets of N.Y. by three points.
With only two minutes remaining in the game, the Raiders seemed
destined to win and make their second consecutive Super Bowl, tying
Vince Lombardi's Packers. But Joe Namath, who would make mincemeat
out of the Colts of the NFL in S.B. III, brought the Jets back to win
a last second game, 27-23. The circuit board in New York blew out
with 119,000+ angry calls from Football fans all over the U.S.
demanding that NBC switch back to the game! But NBC couldn't do it
fast enough. The next week Gowdy called the Jets / Colts Super Bowl
III, where Namath and the Jets beat the over-the-hill Baltimore
           bunch, 16-7.

They still call this game, the most
important Super Bowl ever, an upset, which I don't agree with. Gowdy
went on to call Olympics, NCAA Football and Basketball Championships
and other big games until his retirement in 1985. He was elected into
the American Sports Broadcasting Hall-of-Fame in 1986. And later that
year into the MLB Hall-of-Fame, it's first Announcer.

Rickey Williams - Four strikes your
out? Rickey Williams, the Miami  Dolphins overrated RB, who had
a few good games (and who is in India 'studying' the Hindu cult) has
tested positive for either steroids/drugs for the fourth time in his
speckled NFL career (can you say another first- round "bust"?) Will
the watered down NFL sidestep this like they did the poor Officiating
in  Super Bore XL, or will they throw this bum out for good?

Doug Flutie has two options when the
New England Pats probably will cut him loose next month (Mar. 3rd
he's a free agent again); go to play for Bernie and Loine in Ottawa
in the CFL (w/ or without his brother Darren), or...go back to San
Diego as a reserve QB and serve as Phil Rivers backup? There's a
strong possibility Marty Schottenheimer will call for Doug, who still
owns a home there to come for a tryout. Second or third string as of
this point in his career will not matter to Flutieball, he says. He
really wants more year as a player and it doesn't look like Ottawa
will offer him more than $650,000 Canadian (as QB or drop-K'r?). The
Pats will probably bring in either Jim Miller, Damon Huard or even
Rohan Davey back as number #3 since they appear to be sold on current
number 2 Matt (White)Cassel (as ESPN's Chris Berman calls him)...
Drew Brees appears done in San Diego is he recovered fine from bad
wing surgery but won't be able to pass until May - the Chargers have
to release him since Phil Rivers (& Doug Flutie?!) are ready to go
healthy and the Bolts will have to pay him a whopping $10.2+/mil if
he stays on their roster past Apr. 30th... This plays perfectly into
the Jets hands...They are watering at the mouth to get their habds on
bad-wing Brees (he's only had one shoulder surgery) because @* Chad
Pennington has had three shoulder operations in four years and he
won't take a pay cut. no way will the Jets pay Pennington $11.1/mil
if they keep him past Apr. 30th. Brees is fine say the Docs in San
Diego, as long as he doesn't pass until May. No work 'til then, which
suits the Jersey Jets fine. Oh, Nineteen year vet Vinny Testeverde
has officially retired. He holds several records including 19
consecutive yrs., NFL QB with at least one TD. Just ahead of Johnny
Unitas (r.i.p), Fran Tarkenton and 47-year old former Seahawk great
           Dave Krieg." Moose

         is amazing!" Myk Aussie
Wow! What a great Book Romo has written.
         It is without doubt one
of the top three books I have ever read and the #1 book I have read in
regards to motivation, training and nutrition. There is so many great
stories of Bill's rigorous training routines, his massive spending on
health foods etc, his concussions and most of all his desire to never
miss a game. Bill played for 16 NFL seasons and did not miss a game
when many others would have with some of the injuries that he carried.

I could go on and on about this book but I won't. All I'll say is that
it has already helped me a lot in my training as I prepare for the 06
Australian Rules Football season in Western Canada. It has helped me a
lot in regards to diet and health especially after the King Hit bashing
I copped on Dec 23rd here in Calgary by 5 gutless wonders. Refer to
         Fighting webWORLD.

There is some excellent advice in regards to vitamins, ginseng etc to
help with health especially if you are a athlete. I'm even going to try
his new $160US Neuropath product from pureromonutrition.com especially
if it can help my ever wondering/dreaming brain a bit especially after
the recent bashing and concussion I had.

Now many of you out there
will be thinking of the -ve's in regards to Romo's career and he talks
about his regrets in this book but seriously it is a great motivational
         book for anyone in life.

"Super Bore XL Report – Congrats to the Pittsburgh Stealers (no, I
didn’t misspell that by accident!)" Moose

Super Bowl XL was fine for about the first third, as
Seattle lead 3-0. But the Seahawks were robbed of two TDs by bad calls
on alleged ‘Offencive pass interference calls that were so bad I don’t
think and Af2 Ref would have called them. All week ESPN (especially
ex-Bronco LB Tom Jackson) have railed that the Commissioner's Office at
Park Ave. should issue some sort of apology, et al, to the Seahawks for
the blown calls in the game. Amen to that. I have no problem with any
NFL playoff or Super Bowl Championship game when the best team wins and
certainly Pittsburgh DID get rooked on bad call v. Indianapolis. Jaws Jaworski
still says the Colts are the best team in the League – bullogna! Bill
"Ego" Cowher can have his Super Bowl ring for this Clunker. How about
the idiot Bill Leavy, the guy who gave Vinny Testeverde, a player I
really Do like that TD a few years ago and now he gives
Roethislisberger one in this game too. Unreal!
         "NFL
Hall of Fame Update – The class of 2006 – Congrats to John Madden
(Finally!), Harry Carson (double finally!), Reggie White (R.I.P),
Rayfield Wright, and Warren Moon!" Moose

         Profiles:
Harry Carson – 13-yr starter at Linebacker for the N.Y. Giants.
Giants’ alltime leading tackler. made Nine Pro Bowls, eight in a row
(1981-88). Best Linebacker in N.Y. Giants’ history. Dedicated the
         Giants first Super Bowl win to the late Giants RB Doug Kotar [1974-81;
injured ‘80], who died of a brain tumour Dec. 1983. A class act all the
way and now a very successful Real
         Estate
Broker back in South Carolina. Helped Bill Parcells, Phil Simms & Co.
         win two Super Bowls.

Big John (‘Jack’, or “Red”) Madden, Announcer for 20-yrs., Coach
         – Oakland Raiders (11 yrs), player Philadelphia Eagles, 1959. One of
the best ever OLm in the NCAA’s, Madden was the top pick of the
Philadelphia Eagles, in the second round in 1959. He made the starting
lineup as a rookie on the powerful Eagles but ripped every ligament in
his right knee two plays into the season. Missed the rest of the 1960
season when the Eagles won the NFL title. It only made him more
determined when he got into Coaching. Started in Coaching at Allen
Hancock Junior College then moved to Sid Gillman’s L.A. Chargers staff.
When the club moved to San Diego, he became the youngest Assistant in
the League w/ the Raiders. He replaced John Rauch and got the Raiders
into Super Bowl II in his first year. They lost to Vince Lombardi’s
Packers. Over the next ten seasons the Raiders won more games than any
other Pro Football team except the Saskatchewan Roughriders. (CFL)
Madden won 112 games (100+ faster than any Coach in Pro Football
history) and culminated with the 1977 Super Bowl win over ex-Winnipeg
Coach Peter Harry “Bud” Grant. Madden had to step down as Raider’s
Coach following the 1978 season due to a stomach ailment. He has not
flown in a plane since then. He has written eight Football books, with
much humour and antedotes from his playing and Coaching days. One of a
         kind. A living Legend…

         Rayfield Wright,
13-yr starter at OT for the Dallas Cowboys. Team made eleven playoff
appearances and went to five Super Bowls in eight years, winning two of
them. Made the Pro Bowl eight times, six times as a starter. Never
missed a game in his tenure with the Cowboys. A great technical player.
Reggie White, 17-yr Pro Football DE-DT. Played for the Memphis
         Showboats (USFL), Philadelphia-Green Bay-Carolina (first ex-Panther
player to make NFL Hall-of-Fame). An all-time Pro Football high 230.5
QB ‘sacks’; 198 NFL + 32.5 more in two USFL (1984-85) seasons. Thirteen
Pro Bowl appearances, Eleven consecutive Pro Bowl starts. One Super
Bowl win with Green Bay in ’97. An ordained minister, he openly spoke
out v. homosexuality and other sins. Died tragically in his sleep of a
heart ailment at age only 43 one-and-a-half years ago. R.I.P, Reggie,
“The Minister of Defence” and the best pass rusher ever!

         Warren Moon, QB,
23 Pro seasons, tied an all-time record. Six Grey Cup appearances in
the CFL, 14 playoff appearances in the NFL. Only QB to start for the
AFC & NFC in Pro Bowl games. Five time CFL Allstar. Nine Pro Bowl
appearances, six starts. Slit the QB job at Edmonton (CFL – He

         also

It was a great day but not a great game
as the Steelers win. There has been a lot of talk on the sports radio
shows since the Big game about the very controversial refereeing
decisions including the Big Ben touchdown and the offensive
interference call on Seahawks Darryl Jackson. Either way the Steelers
won because they made the most of the opportunities. Seahawks
definitely had their chances but obvious missed field goals and some
horrid drops by Tight End Jeremy Stevens were some of the reasons that
cost them winning the game. Seahawks coach Mike Holmgrem now back in
Seattle complained today Big-time about the refereeing. Hmmm a NFL fine
will probably be coming to Mike. Maybe he was right but maybe not!
         That's the way it goes.

Even though I am not in
Detroit this week I have enjoyed listening to many of the great sports
radio shows including The Jim Rome Show on Calgary's The Fan 960, Sportstalk with Mark Stephen Calgary QR77
and of course SportsRage Team 990 Montreal and Internet with Gabriel
         Morency.
Memories! Jim Rome kept saying all week how amazing the massive radio
row is in the Media Centre. I agree and in some ways I didn't miss not
being there that much seeing the Bronco's weren't in the Big game as I
kept thinking of the great times I have had in radio row the past 3
years during the whole of the Super Bowl week. A couple of my Super
Bowl MYKwebTV shows, show the massive Radio Rows.

         From the reports below
you will see that I have tipped the Steelers to win Big over the
Seahawks even though I hope the Seahawks win! Refer to Moose, Scott
Baxter's and my argument/discussion below Jan 27 report. After the
Championship games I made my selection and decided not to be influenced
by the media talk/reports over the 2 weeks leading up to the Big game.

However a real interesting interview I heard was on QR77 with Mark
Stephen with the great CFL coach/manager Jim Barker. Jim had some very
good insight into the Steelers "erratic or somewhat concerning
preparation" up until Tuesday of this week. That made me think slightly
more towards the Seahawks but I am sticking with what I said, the
Steelers will win and I think it will be a Big win! Go Seahawks though
as I am a bit like what Mark Stephen says, "We have been forced to
watch many Seahawks games over the past 20-30 years here on the West
Coast of Canada, lots of them when the Seahawks were horrible".
Yeh I agree I've watched many Seahawks games on Fox over the past 8
years, or should I say I have watched "some of their games when I had
no CBS AFC choice" Let's hope it is a great game, Sunday 6pm Eastern
         US/CDN time.
