I have liked the Vikings and Randy Moss ever since my wild trip to see the Packers take on the Vikings for ABC's Monday night footy several years ago in Minneapolis. I will continue to stick up for Randy as it appears he will be a Oakland Raider. Randy when fit is I believe the best WR in the NFL. From Moose "The Philadelphia Eagles won the NFC Championship in convincing fashion over upstart young Atlanta and bewildered QB Michael Vick, 27-10 yesterday in the Founding City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia and by the same score they were dispatched to in a lose to Da Raidahs in Super Bowl XV in Jan. 1981.

The New England Patriots beat the Pittsburgh Steelers behind the Pass rush and 3 INTs off sore-armed 'Rookie' QB Ben Roethlisberger, who finally lost a Pro game, his 15th start of the season. Roethlisberger's thumb hasn't been right in three weeks and below .500\Coach Bill 'Coward' wouldn't go to ex-Ar.FL and XFL allstar Tommy Maddox in the third inning the way he should have. It's not Jerome Bettis that should retire but Cowher. He follows in the footsteps of his mentor, Marty Schottenheimer - guys who win tons of regular season games but don't win much when it comes to brass tacks in Playoff time. This is the fourth time out of five that Coward has lost an AFC Championship game in Pittsburgh. Roethlisberger hung in there, but his three INTs, two of which weren't really his fault, were costly. Still, he was Rookie of the Year and made quite an impression on me.

Super Bowl XXXIX Preview and Prediction: Coaching: Since Philadelphia really only has three good Coaches and New England has five, Edge to New England. QBing: Both teams have two solid starters and really no backups, so the starters better stay healthy. I would say Jeff Blake is as good as Rohan (pronouced 'Ro-ahn') Davey, Jamiaca descendant he is, but Kliff Kingsbury should beat out Davey for number two next year, unless Davey can lose, say, 30 pounds? Koy Detmer is awful for Philly and must know where the body is buried to keep cashing NFL checks. He wouldn't be a good NIFL starter! 

RBs: Edge New England. I like the 'change of pace' backs Philly bring to the table: Brian (Philly) Westbrook, Dorsey (Misses the Pack) Levens and Reno Mahe, but two VERY GOOD backs beats three pretty good one. McNabb is a much better running QB than Brady, but Brady has more Big Game Experience.

OEs: Who cares whether T.O. plays? Philly, of course. But since he's never done much in Big Games before, I give the Edge to New England with their seven very good WRs. You never know which one will star in any given week, a tribute to their work ethic and team orientation. Sorry Freddie Mitchell. TEs Edge to New England.

OLm: Edge Philly in every area except versatility. If New England wins, ex-Hawai'i (Inj.) Warrior star Adrian Klemm gets his third Super Bowl ring in Four years. So do a lot of other Patriots. Big Jon Runyon may get anther kind of ring in the NFL offseason, if the Af2 team he owns (San Diego) wins the Arena Cup in August!

DLm: Edge Philadelphia by a whisker. New England is so good sometimes, Romeo Crennell's D-line sometimes gets most of the second half off! Philadelphia, despite Jevon Kearse sometimes disappearing acts, is a little better.

LBs: No contest here: all six of New England's LBs are better than all of Philadelphia's LBs put together, except for Washington's second biggest mistake of the Year; Not resigning Jeremiah Trotter. Poor Andy Reid...Linebacker Envy?! You bet!

DBs: Despite New England not having it's two starting CBs most of the year, David Patton, who's played both WR/DB in the Arena League many years ago, wasn't even needed to do double duty! Instead versatile Troy Brown did triple duty! Philadelphia usually puts three DBs in the Pro Bowl every year in this Century and does have A SLIGHT Edge.

Special Teams: The right name for ex-Baltimore (CFL) Stallion and two-time Grey Cup'r Josh Miller, the lefty and fellow Patriot, Adam Vinatieri, the best Big Game NFL kicker EVER! A Big Edge also for New England with Larry Izzo going back to the Pro Bowl again as the All-World 'gunner'.

Outlook: Philadelphia must do something that their cross-state rival Pittsburgh couldn't do - score first and not turn the ball over on it's first two possessions. They will do that much; It's just that you have to play so perfect v. all the different Offencive and Defencive looks that the Pats give you; Donovan better bring plenty of Wilma's Campbell's Soup! Reid is a VERY UNDERRATED Coach, particularly as an Offencive Guru; kind of a cross between June Jone meets Tom Moore. He'll need to be v. the Two-time-in- three-year Defending Champ Patriots. 

Prediction: New England 27, Philadelphia 24, maybe the best Super Bowl since, well, last year's New England OVER Carolina, but this time a new twist - get ready for the first Overtime Super Bowl ever. Enjoy!' Moose

Sat, Jan 22 05 "My NFL tips for this weekend AFC and NFC Championship games! Raiders Barret Robbins faces attempted murder charge! A excellent NFL Media interview with Eagles Jeremiah Trotter!

Patriots over Steelers. I gotta stick with my Super Bowl tip of the Patriots. I think they will defeat the Steelers in what appears will be snowy conditions. The Patriots lead by Tom Brady who can be seen on Super Bowl and Pro Bowl MYKwebTV have a all round great side. Corey Dillon has improved their Running game while they have a great defense. 

Eagles over Falcons. Can the Eagles get to the Super Bowl after loosing three straight NFL Championship games. Gabriel Morency thinks not and is tipping the Falcons I believe straight up. I'm going with Eagles but I would not at all be surprised if the Falcons win. I can't wait to see the best running Quarterback in the league in Falcons Michael Vick take on another great running Quarterback in Donovan McNabb. Both teams also have great defenses. Barret Robins the Raiders Centre that went walkabout into Mexico two days before Super Bowl 37 is in major trouble this time. He was shot twice by Miami police after he was found in a women's toilet in a building housing a gym, a pub and a jewelry store it has been reported this week. He was in critical condition in hospital. Barret missed the Super Bowl in San Diego and majorly let down the team. Check out the MYKwebTV screen to the top left where  a week after the Super Bowl I ask the Raiderettes cheerleader if she was the reason Barret missed the Super bowl. The expression on her face is priceless then she realizes I am joking with her.
